My son is 10 months and a very messy eater. I was excited about reviewing the Close Parent stage 2 bib. I have used Close Parent products before so I knew that they were great quality and I hoped it would live up to expectations. I was not disappointed.

The bib is a highly practical, it is made up of a wipeable patterned side and a soft fleecy side. The wipeable side is soft whilst still waterproof, and features a design. I was sent the red monkey design, but there are others available to match the other products in the Close Parent range. The soft fleecy side is lovely against baby’s skin, and as fleece is also water repellent it is an extra barrier against the mess. Also having two sides means you can always reverse it.

The sizing on the bib seems great, there are two sets of poppers at the neck. I sometimes find that bib’s aren’t snug round the neck and gape, meaning they don’t do what they are meant to, but this one is good. There is a fold up section, which attaches with poppers to catch all that dropped food. This can also be left down to make a long bib. It is very versatile, I would say you could use this from 3 or 4 months as a bib for milk feeds and then it will carry on until hopefully bibs aren’t needed anymore.

It washes really well, and dries really quickly. The stitching and poppers are of great quality, the poppers are very strong, which is useful when you have a child who doesn’t want to wear a bib.

Priced at £5.99 it really does represent good value for money.

Overall I really do love this bib, so much so I’m considering buying more.
