Robozuna Battling Figures Review

Reviewed by Debbie Talbot
My 7-year-old twins love watching children’s TV programmes on Netflix and have liked watching Robozuna. Robozuna is an animated tv series about an orphan boy and his homemade robot taking on an evil empire and its legion of robots to free his country. I was therefore delighted to get the chance to review two Robozuna battling figures. There are four figures to collect; Clunk, Mangle, Pounder and Spark. They measure approx. 12.5cm and are suitable for ages 4-10 years. My twins get very excited about any toys which interact with each other and I knew that these would be no exception. The two figures we were sent were Clunk, who is grey, orange and green and Mangle who is orange and grey.

The figures arrived in perfect condition. They were easy to remove from the packaging, which is always good when you seem to have 2 boys chomping at the bit to play with their new toys. The box design is great. As well as looking stunning it’s designed so that you can try out the toy’s functions before making a decision to buy it. Both of the figures have a button on each leg which moves its arms. This is the way the figures battle and are able to have a “bot-brawl”.
These battling bots offer hours of play value. The figures are the perfect size for small children, not too big and not too small. The buttons are easy for little hands and fingers to press. I love the way that Clunk has something on the end of his arm, he is very true to his name. You can even strike the head of each figure to eject their armour from their breastplates. I love toys that encourage children to play together. You need two children to operate the figures in a brawl, so this encourages them to play together (and hopefully not brawl with each other). Your fun is not limited to the two figures battling each other. The figures can have many an adventure in your home. They can visit the inhabitants of our playsets and offer protection against a naughty dragon. They can have other exciting adventures. I think what’s lovely is the creative play that these figures bring out of children. I think that these toys do encourage communication and I also I think these toys are also excellent to help with motor skills.

I do want to mention at this point how well made both figures are. I can see these lasting a long time and potentially being passed on to another family in the future. They look appealing for children. I love the bright colours used in their design.
I would recommend these battling figures to others and I would also be keen to try out more products from the Robozuna range of toys. I would love to try out the other figures in the range, Spark and Pounder. Netflix have certainly got it right when coming up with the perfect set of characters to engage children. You can even catch up with the latest Robozuna news on robozuna.com.
The Robozuna Battling Figures would make an excellent Christmas gift idea as they encourage play and imagination and tie in with a popular children’s series.
