I went to Jungle Mania on a Sunday with my husband and my 3 children: 5 years old and 2 years old twins.

It is easy enough to find when you know that it is situated behind the McDonalds on Greenland Road (the main road between the Parkway and Sheffield Arena). There is a small sign to remind you to turn. Then, it is to the left. Jungle Mania is situated next to a few businesses in Coleford Business Centre. A certain amount of car parking spaces are allocated to each business. All the spaces for Jungle Mania were full. However, we realised that considering the other business were closed, we could use theirs. I guess it probably isn’t too bad during the week as not as many people attend but I am really not sure what happens on Saturday’s when everything is open.

As we arrived, they were a little bit of a queue which was dealt with very promptly. We signed in and walked through the gates. We found a table straight away and proceeded to remove our shoes and go and investigate.

We started with the under 5 area. There are some Little Tikes cars which are in enclosed area so they can only be ridden in there, a ball pool, a slide, a punch bag, lots of big soft toys… It is a lovely space for toddlers. My 2 years olds enjoyed it just as much as my 5 years old.

I realised that there is a little area for under 2’s. It is situated in the middle of the tables, as the place was busy, I hadn’t noticed it at first. It isn’t very big but it does have a Little Tikes slide and a few pieces of baby equipment: walker, Leap Frog Learn & Groove activity station… I have also found a few more around the place.

After a little bit of running around, my little boy started escaping to the Junior area. So up we went, following our little gang, to the top to reach the big slide. It does have all sorts in there: punch bags, rollers, big balls, climbing nets… Some routes are a little bit easier that others but we have found that even our 2 years olds could do it. So when we had done a few run, we let them go on their own and stayed at the bottom of the slide. Not a problem for my 5 years old who went round and round as fast as he could. My 2 year old girl could do it and did brave it on her own but found that she liked it best when mummy or daddy went with her. My 2 years old boy loved it and was not intimidated by the big children. He even found the twisted slide at the back all by himself. It does get hot as you go up but the kids didn’t seem to care.

They were a few more areas we didn’t explore: a bouncy castle and sports arena (basketball and football).

Whilst we were there, they were few birthday parties. They have 3 party rooms and I think they were all occupied. It didn’t make the place crowded, they were still plenty of space to sit and play. At the entrance, we had noticed that you can hire your kid’s favourite character to attend the party. We were very excited when Olaf came out to join one of the party. You have to give whoever was in the costume some credit. One of the first thing he did with the kids was to go on the bouncy castle, he then proceeded to go up to the top of the slide and got all the kids to follow him. He stayed for the rest of the party and even “sang” Let It Go. It was very sweet. For another party, Minnie came out to the delight of my daughter who is obsessed and a Minion to the delight of my 5 years old.

We’d had a late breakfast so didn’t feel hungry whilst we were there. However, we had a coffee (£1.30), a latte (£1.60), a hot chocolate with cream and marshamallow (£1.90) and 2 cartons of apple juice (80p each). The food is served between 10am and 5.30pm (last order). There is a wide variety of choices (Breakfast, Burger, sharing platter, Pizza, Paninis, Jacket Potatoes, Salads…) and the selection is just as varied for the children (Chicken nuggets, Fish fingers, Jacket Potatoes, Sandwiches…). All at very reasonable prices.

I also noticed that they offer complimentary wifi and the password was on the counter.

There are also some small rides (Postman Pat, Peppa Pig…), some games (air hockey…) and sweets available to purchase.

The staff was busy, efficient and friendly. The queue for the food and drink was never more than 4/5 people long.

They have a disabled toilet with baby changing facilities, a potty and a stool. There is an additional baby changing table in the ladies toilet. It was all very clean.

We have found the play centre to be clean and tidy. They were a few crumbs but you could tell that it was due to the amount of people there. The equipment is not new but we thought it was all well maintained. It is a very nice size, neither too big or too small.

We have really enjoyed our time there. The kids loved it. When we asked our little boy what was his favourite he said “everything”.

I would really recommend and we will bring the kids back.
