Organic Babies Soothing Baby Salve Review

Reviewed by Julie Jessup

Since my granddaughter who is now 14 months started teething she has had sensitive skin, recently she had very bad patches on her arms, chin and back. The nurse identified these as baby eczema and gave her various lotions and cream to use. After using these for two weeks instead of getting better the patches were becoming larger and she was very irritated by these.

I started researching creams online and it was at this time that I was very happy to be chosen to review Organic Babies Soothing Baby Salve by Green People.

There is a story to the delivery of this product, it came wrapped up in beautiful paper with my name and address handwritten. My birthday was coming up four days after I received it, so seeing the paper I thought “Oh, how lovely someone has sent me a birthday present”, so I put it away and opened it on the day with the rest of my gifts. Well my face was quite a picture when I opened it, “Oh, I wonder what it is and who it is from?” I was quite surprised that someone had sent me baby salve for a present then the penny dropped it was the product I had been awaiting.

My granddaughter was with me when I opened this so I put it all over her straightaway. Her mum took it home and has been using it on a regular basis. You do not need much and you rub it gently in. She loves having it put on her, she must feel relieved.

Evie came to stay with me two nights ago an ideal time for me to see if this cream had been successful, I have to say I was totally amazed and overjoyed. She still has some dry patches, but they are very small and her very dry chin has almost cleared up. We are all so thrilled with this product.

It can be used on babies face, bottom and body and also on babies scalp. So all you need to take with you in that monstrous baby bag that seems to be ever growing is one pot!

What did impress me is on the box it states it is certified 92% organic ingredients, you normally have to search for this information on products as it is not always obvious. The product is full of herbs and has a lovely smell of lavender.

The company that makes this product, Green People, is a well-established company that supplies lots of products that cater for everyone, as well as gift sets which are ideal to give for Christmas presents. I have used Green People products myself and I would be thrilled to receive a gift set as a present.

It is a UK based company, the idea began in 1994 and was founded in 1997 by a mother named Charlotte whose daughter had multiple skin allergies and she was unable to find a product that was not mostly synthetic, products that were  identified as natural only needed to include 1% of natural ingredients.

The whole story is on the website and is a very interesting read.

The website has lots of offers and if you join up for a newsletter then you receive 10% off your first purchase. They also have a very interesting blog, full of information. Free delivery if your order is over £15 and free returns within 28 days.

This product is so worth my award of 5 stars.
