The Pure Potions range is an award-winning brand born from the maternal love and hopes to create pure, gentle products that would help her daughter.

The product branding looks clean and fresh, proudly boasts the award winning logo and a 99% natural tag line.

The products are free from perfume, parabens, palm oil, SLS, phthalates, silicones, phenoxyethanol, PEGs, mineral oil and LIES. They are cruelty free and made in the UK.

Over the years I have suffered from mild eczema and dermatitis but not to the extreme that some of my family had to endure. They are miserable skin conditions to live with so I applaud this mother for doing the best by her child and helping the millions of sufferers too.

The first product that I tried was the cleansing oil. My usual product is the kind that you squirt onto cotton wool and gently remove your make up and daily grime. It has been so many years since I used an oil based cleanser I was intrigued. Now I chose to put a small amount of the product in my palm and massage gently across my face and neck, using circular motions on face and upwards strokes on my neck – I trained many years ago as a Beauty Therapist so these are great tips! I left the oil for a couple of minutes whilst I brushed my teeth then using damp cotton wool pads I removed the cleansing oil. It was great! I loved it, it removed daily grime, eye make-up and did not leave me shiny or greasy. The oil is light. Because of the natural basis of all the products there are no fancy perfumes so the smell is more of a medicinal product smell but it is not unpleasant. I would definitely recommend the product.

My hands are where I develop dermatitis, I have to say usually more in winter and generally on just 2 of my fingers (stems from hairdressing days, holding the damp hair to cut) It can get really quite painful and raw. So this intensive hand cream was of real interest for me. It is a really light cream that absorbs easily into the skin. It contains seabuckthorn and hemp and does have a herby aroma, less clinical than the oil. My hands were not left greasy just soft and moisturised. I am really looking forward to trying it when my skin flares again. I am always on the lookout for a product to solve my dermatitis as it is painful – cracked knuckles are not fun!

The lipbalm is 100% natural. It is a gentle moisturiser for lips. I don’t have particularly dry lips at the moment. I think it is the wrong time of year for my skin to show the blemishes that normally come with cold weather, central heating etc. However, despite my lips not being dry it is a great lip balm to add a quick moisture boost. It is gentle and slides on smoothly. My youngest son likes using it too.

Now I am a pamper queen, head, hands, feet, body and face I just love massage so the next product is my idea of heaven. A facial oil and to top off all greatness it contains lavender oil. I am obsessed with lavender oil it smells divine. This is oil is a combination of rosehip and lavender so for those of you that are not too keen on the lavender scent it is not overbearing. Now again going back to my beauty training I only used a small amount of the oil and therefore I could add to it if need be. The oil gave me slip and slide needed to be able to gently massage my face and neck without pulling the skin. My hands stayed “lubricated” for long enough to complete a quick 5 minute facial massage. I chose to remove the excess oil after the massage with a damp cotton wool pad, then a skin toner and moisturiser. Saying this you can give your dry, thirsty skin a well earned drink with this light oil.

My skin type is normal, but in colder weather is prone to dryness. Itchiness and becomes quite raw. This product range has left my skin feeling so soft and I can’t wait to continue to use the products and definitely see what effect they have on my ailments.

The products are gentle enough to be used on children and there is even a baby range too. To give comfort to those that can’t help themselves!

I have really enjoyed the range and will recommend Pure Potions to anybody that asks and I will also be recommending the products to friends that suffer from eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and generally dry conditions.
