This emotional and moving story from Susanna Quinn pulled at my heart and really got me thinking about what life for Geishas over in Japan is really like.

3 old school friends Steph, Annabel and Julia work in Tokyo as bar hostesses, a job which they can have all the free drinks they want, a great wage and meeting new people.

When Steph's friends start behaving strangely she knows something about Tokyo isn't right and sets about finding out what is going on.

When Annabelle goes missing Steph is frantic but Julia acts like she couldn't care less and the only things that can give Steph any clues is a diary, Annabel’s Diary!

The diary is not a comforting read and soon Steph realises what danger she and her friends are in.

Steph goes to find Annabelle but finds herself in a seedy world which sex for money is the norm.

Will Steph find her friend or will she end up another notch on a businessman’s bedpost.

A gripping read which is beautifully written.
