This is a totally new thing for me; I was vaguely aware of water flossers but me nor anyone in my family had ever used one. When I opened the very luxurious looking box I had no idea what to expect, what I saw was a very stylish looking instrument a little taller than a tooth brush and much fatter with a very thin nozzle at the end instead of the bristles, also in the box was a USB-C charging cable, three floss tips and a soft bag for traveling.
A water flosser removes the debris and bacteria that a toothbrush can’t reach, it sends out 2000 pulsations of water per minute with an 80 – 160 PSI so there’s a lot of pressurised water coming out of that thin nozzle.
I have to be perfectly honest with you, the first few times I used it I had water everywhere, the walls, the floor, down my front, this was mainly my fault for not getting properly familiarised with all the settings before using it, I kept accidentally switching it on when I picked it up. Now after a few days use I’ve got the hang of it I make sure I’m bent over the washbasin with the nozzle facing my teeth before switching on and all the water goes into the basin.
With a quick press on the mode selection button you can scroll through the three modes, Sensitive, Daily Clean, Power Clean.
Modes can be changed while using, there is also an on demand button which you press and hold to get the water flow and release to stop it, the flosser is used to clean in between the teeth and along the gum line, it will automatically turn off after two minutes use. The water tank holds 260 ml of water which is 55 seconds of use and it is recommended to use one tank full for the top teeth and another full tank for the bottom teeth. Use lukewarm water, and a few drops of mouthwash can be added for an extra fresh feeling.
After the mess I made with the first few uses I was wondering if I could be bothered with this every time I cleaned my teeth, but now that I have mastered the technique I absolutely love it and would never miss using it, I enjoy the clean fresh feeling it gives and the look of my teeth is also improving, my dental hygiene has had a real upgrade and it feels great.
Once charged you will have at least four weeks of power so if you take this on holiday you won’t have to worry about losing the power or taking the charging cable with you. The flosser can also be deactivated when traveling to avoid any accidents.
Priced at £59.99 the flosser has a 2 year warranty and is available in six beautiful colours. White, Mint Green, Arctic Blue, Rose Gold, Charcoal Grey, Pearl Violet.

This would make a unique thoughtful gift for many people.
