Spin Master Shark Mania Game Review

Reviewed by Debbie Talbot

Shark Mania is a great game for 2-4 players aged 6 years + and I must admit that I enjoyed playing it with my 9 year old daughter.

My daughter was keen to start playing but first we had to assemble the game, once assembled it is over 3 feet (1 metre) long.

The box contains 2x shark mania tracks, 16x bridge pieces, an island, an island dock, shipwreck front, shipwreck back, shipwreck top, 4x different coloured movers, 16x cardboard gold pieces, cardboard palm tree, die and instructions.

The easy to follow instructions soon had us put the pieces together and ready to play.

As I said, my daughter was eager to start so read through the straightforward instructions and we were ready to play.

The object of the game is to reach the island and collect as many of the gold coins as possible along the way, but watch out for the shark that is racing towards the island on the track, if he catches you you’re out of the game. The winner is the player that has safely reached the island and has the highest value of coins (each coin when turned over has a number between 1 and 3).

Overall we found Shark Mania to be fun and entertaining. Easy to understand and play and is quite fast paced so children will not lose interest. With the amount of pieces in the box and entertainment value it is definitely worth the £19.99 price tag and will keep children and their friends entertained for a long time to come.
