As someone who’s always looking for new ways to save some money on our ever-increasing household bills, I saw the Speed Comfort Radiator Fan for review and it looked like something different, with a practical use, so I was enthusiastic to test it.
In order to get the right coverage for our lounge, I used the calculator on the website to determine how many fans I would need. Based on the calculation, I was sent 2 trio sets for the radiators in our lounge.
When the packs arrived I noted they each contained the following:-
1x Power adapter
1x thermostat switch
3x speed comfort fans
2x connection cabled
The idea behind this product is that it attaches to your radiators and uses the fans to help circulate the warm air away from the radiator and around the room they’re installed in. it’s that simple. The manufacturer boasts that this increases the efficiency of your heating by up to 22%. This saves you money because it allows you to lower your thermostat. Because it circulates the air around the room quicker, it heats the room faster. The fans help circulate better to reduce the cold spots
I unboxed the product and connected the power cable and the thermostat into the first radiator fan and then used the 2 connection cables to connect the 3 radiator fans into a chain, which I then attached to my radiator. This took just a few minutes, which was a real bonus, as no one wants to spend ages setting up these things. The thermostat sticks to the side of the radiator with a magnet and once connected I turned on the heating. When the radiator heated up all the fans turned on.
The fans are not silent but I would describe them as being quiet and once you have your TV on and some other background noise you do not notice the fans are on. The thermostat allow the fans to turn off automatically when the heating turns off, so you don’t need to be continually turning them on and off, which is another bonus for the product.
Depending on the type of radiator you have there are various methods of connecting the speed comforts, I was able to connect them underneath the radiator, and this means they are out of sight. There are some instructions on the side of the packaging but there is also a QR code on the packaging which takes you to the online manual, which is an extensive PDF file where there are some clearer images and a better description of the methods of connecting the fans.
The Speed Comfort Radiator Fans were well packaged and when I say this, I mean it has not been over packaged in a wasteful manner and so they follows the company’s green ethos. The company plants a tree for every Speed Comfort Radiator Fan they sell, they are a big promoter of social inclusion and were the Winners of the “Greenest Idea of the Netherlands”

In summary the Speed Comfort Radiator Fans are well built, cost next to nothing to run and saves you money through reduced energy costs. The speed comfort is environmentally friendly in nature and I like the manufacturer’s ethics. The price does seem high but it has a 10 year warranty so if you have spread the cost over those 10 years the cost doesn’t seem that high.
