Speck Presidio INKED iPhone X/XS Case Review

Reviewed by Helen Noble.

I have been looking for a new phone case for my iPhone XS that not only looks good, gives protection but still having the wireless charging capability without having to mess about removing the case. I hadn’t had much luck until

I came across ‘Speck’ whilst searching the web.

Speck create award-winning cases designed to make an impact. They have been making distinctive products for the world’s top smartphones, tablets, laptops, and watches since 2001.

Speck say – they make products that are designed for impact to protect the tech you rely on. With a balance of slim lines and military-grade protection, they say they provide a difference you can see and feel.

They promise – Protection without compromise. With Speck, you get optimum protection and everything else: beautiful design, sleek lines, purposeful details and a lifetime warranty.

This all sounded good to me, all I had to do now was choose the design and colour which isn’t an easy task as there are so many fab bright designs and styles to choose from.

I decided to go for the Presidio INKED iPhone XS/X CASE in the Sun Dyed Leaves/Sunset Peach design and a Neonleaf GrabTab from the Neon Nights Collection. There are other designs available for the case and GrabTab.

The purchase process was quick and simple with various payment methods accepted, my items arrived quickly only a couple of days after placing my order. The items were delivered well packaged in a waterproof bag and sealed in strong boxed packaging, so no chance of damage during transit. I did feel that the tape on the bottom of the box was a tad fiddly to undo this could maybe do with been a little bit smaller but once undone the inner box which is made of recyclable paper foam easily slides out to then take out the phone case for fitting.

My phone easily fitted and clipped into the case, by inserting the top first then pushing and clicking the bottom into place. The one thing I noticed was the case is a double layered one unit not two like some other cases I have had, this gives the case a good solid, secure fit to my phone.

A raised bezel edge helps to protect the screen from scratching and shattering if your phone falls face-down. Which is definitely good for me as the amount of times I have forgotten it’s on my knee and stood up (we have all done it at some point) or it’s fallen out of my handbag and flown across the floor, well this case has been engineered and drop tested from 2.4 Meters/10ft. It also has a bezel edge around the camera lens therefore protecting it from scratches when placed on a table etc.

The case has a high-tech coating, to protect the vivid colour and pattern, which resists fading, scratching, discolouration and feels good to hold.

The GrabTab was very easy to attach to the back of the case. Make sure you line it up straight the first time as once it’s stuck it isn’t moving anywhere. I love the fact the GrabTab doesn’t add unnecessary bulk to the phone and slides up easily to slip your finger in to hold and can also be used as a stand.

But wait for it… You can still wirelessly charge your phone! Yep… even with the GrabTab attached. All in all

I feel this case and GrabTab is excellent value for money. As well as being practical, it is very stylish, and I most certainly recommend.

Rating: 5/5

RRP: £24.95 (Inked Case) / £7.95 (GrabTab)
