All of us experience everyday stresses and strains in life. The unavoidable daily grind takes its toll on your overall wellbeing, especially your skin. Wouldn’t it be great if you could push your daily worries to one side and indulge in a long relaxing spa? Unfortunately, life isn’t as straightforward as that.
What is possible is for spa quality products and regimes to come to you.
I was delighted when asked to review The Restorative Collection, produced by the beauty company Slow Ageing Essentials.
The husband and wife duo, David and Margot Lieber, launched this British brand in 2020. David has a background in the beauty industry. Margot, a yoga instructor and Natural Chef, who intriguingly incorporates naturopathic nutritional methods to enhance personal wellness. An ideal partnership.
It’s worthwhile taking time to browse their website. It not only details their full product range (the Core-8 Products), but also provides instructions on how to use them effectively for maximum benefit. Skin-ergy, in particular, is a massage technique developed to stimulate pressure points, releasing blocked energy, and encourage the penetration of the Slow Ageing Essentials products.
Maintaining a regular wellbeing regime helps you to relax and unwind. Taking time out to pamper yourself will help reduce your stress levels. It’s well recognised that this can have major benefits to the condition of your skin.
The website also details the full ingredients of the products, ideal if you have any allergy concerns.
The Restorative Collection is focused on the following unisex product.
Essential Face Balm (20ml)
The instructions recommended using this balm at night, ideally following a cleanse. Slow Ageing Essentials also produce a Gentle Face Cleanser and a Face Wash, see their website for further details.
It’s suggested that you apply this product once to three times a week. Warm it slightly in the palms of your hands, and massage it gently into the skin using the recommended Skin-ergy massage technique.
This luxurious product contains shea and cocoa seed butters with beeswax, hazelnut and jojoba oils. However, its scent is not strong. This soothing balm helps to restore your skin while you sleep.
It felt a little waxy (I think I might have needed to warm it in my hand for a little longer), however, once applied, it felt very smooth, and extremely indulgent. Time will tell if it has any long-term effect, but my initial reaction was very positive indeed.
To make this gift idea even more special, The Restorative Collection is supplied in a colourful ‘Live Life Slow’ wash bag together with a Complimentary travel-sized Facial Essence.
Essential Facial Essence (5ml)
Apply a small amount of this essence to your skin in the morning and evening. The product offers many advantages, like enriching your skin with nutrients, improving flexibility, and assisting in moisturiser absorption.
Conclusions
Over the years, I’ve tried a few cheaper skin products. There is no comparison between those and the ones supplied as part of this Restorative Collection.
It is impossible to measure the benefits of making yourself feel good. Following a regular regime makes your skin feel great, which gives a boost to your overall wellbeing.
I would highly recommend this as a gift idea, and if you are purchasing for yourself, the company also offers a
‘Subscribe and Save’ option for individual products.
