Dare I say (before the end of October) that Christmas is fast approaching, a mere 10 Fridays before Christmas day. Winter is coming and the sun will start to hide behind clouds of rain and snow and the early night sky. The air is getting cold and there is practically zero opportunity to catch any rays from the sun. In a society where everyone has everything, getting gifts for people now requires out of the box thinking.
I have had the absolute pleasure of trying the new Skinny Tan Wonder Serum Gift Set. I have used Skinny Tan for a little while now, however, I have always stuck with the mousse version. It is well known that Skinny Tan appeared on the hit television show “Dragons’ Den” but I think it is fair to say that now Skinny Tan deserves and has earnt recognition in its own right. Independent of the television show, for their incredible products and moral compass.
As someone who disagrees wholeheartedly with animal testing, it is important to me to find beauty products that fulfil my ethics and adhere to my moral compass. I can say with confidence that Skinny Tan creates and distributes products that are Vegan friendly and totally cruelty free. They do not sell to mainland China where animal testing of imported goods is compulsory. They have achieved “Leaping Bunny” status and are clearly driven by sustainability and responsible distribution and were the FIRST company in the country to be able to make legitimate cruelty free and vegan friendly claims for their ingredients.
The gift set itself is beautifully presented in a burgundy velvet case that is clearly well made and of a high quality. The products included in the gift set are:

Because I use Skinny Tan products anyway, I already have the Skinny Tan Pre Tan Primer, this exfoliates the skin and prepares it for the perfect streak free tan, however you could use an exfoliating mitt which would prep the skin adequately for application. The serum need only be used sparingly as it spreads well and smells divine. The texture is thick and creamy and genuinely does not look patchy when it dries. The tan is subtle and buildable in both the serum and the face drops. The dry mist finish spray helps the newly applied product to not be sticky or tacky, although, it does not dry the product fully and care must be taken when getting dressed.
The products and case are stunning, and I will always speak very highly of Skinny Tan products. They do exactly what the company claims. I did sit funny, and the newly applied tan did transfer from one leg to another before it had dried fully. There hasn’t been any transfer on to my bedsheets and usually when I tan with the mousse there is a little transfer on my bedsheets. However, to be completely honest I only tanned one leg this time to show the distinct difference between skin shades. I happen to be as pale as a ghost 90% of the time.
I am incredibly fair skinned so when I do use the skinny tan products, I always look much healthier, with a lovely glow. The products do not oxidise, so they look totally natural with no orange tones to them. I prefer the serum to mousse as I feel I used less product and it spread further than the mousse or creams I have used in the past. This combined with the lack of transfer from skin to sheets and material, and the way my skin looks and feels after Skinny Tan application I cannot recommend this gift set enough.
