We parked at Phoenix Park tram park and ride and caught the tram into the city centre. There are car parks close by if you want to drive into the city centre although it is easier to catch the tram as the pub is conveniently located right across the road from the royal centre tram stop. It is in an ideal location if you are going to see a show and want some food beforehand.
The Three Crowns was very clean. There was a nice friendly atmosphere in the pub. The staff were extremely friendly and showed us to our table straight away. There was a very good choice of options on the menu. The barmaid hollie was very friendly. She brought us our drinks across to the table and informed us how to order when we were ready. You order at the bar.
We ordered prawn cocktail and chicken goujons to start. The service was excellent and we soon got our starters, which were presented very well. For our mains we had a Mexican burger and an 8oz sirloin steak with Jack Daniels Tennessee sauce. I got asked what kind of potatoes we wanted with our main courses and how I wanted my steak cooking. The food came out in no time at all. The steak came out on a sizzling plate which was really good. Again the food was presented really well. It was also very tasty! Hollie came and made sure everything was good with our food. The waiter took our dessert order after he had cleared away our plates. We ordered a cookie sundae and a Belgium chocolate brownie.
The desserts were served in good time. And both were presented very well.
The waiters and bar staff were all friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The toilets were spotlessly clean and so was the rest of the pub.
I would highly recommend this pub to anybody and will defiantly be visiting it again.
We were very satisfied with our visit to the Three Crowns.
My overall rating of the pub is 5/5 as I wouldn’t change anything. There wouldn’t be anything I could recommend to make the pub any better than what it already is.
