Shloer Celebration Pink Fizz Review

Reviewed by Ruth Thomas

I’ve always been a fan of Shloer and buy a few bottles every New Year’s Eve for the children to enjoy a toast at midnight while the grown ups enjoy champagne, so when I was asked to review their new Celebration Pink Fizz I was intrigued to see whether it would be as lovely as the original flavours.

The bottle is lovely and would make a perfect gift for someone who does not drink alcohol and would be an ideal gift for a baby shower.

Shloer is a sparkling juice drink for any occasion, and it contains no preservatives, artificial colours, sweeteners or flavourings. The Celebration Pink Fizz is described as ‘a fresh and fruity fizz combining vibrant flavours of red and white grape juices.’

It tasted really fresh and fruity so the description was spot on and was enjoyed by the whole family.

Mocktails (non-alcoholic cocktails) are now available on almost any drinks menu in any restaurant or bar that you go to Shloer makes the perfect base for a mocktail.

The website includes 5 non-alcoholic, Shloer based cocktail recipes which all sound yummy. I will be trying out this one for my step-daughter’s 16th birthday party at the end of November.

75ml Shloer white grape
75ml Shloer raspberry & cranberry
50ml Shloer red grape
25ml fresh orange juice
2 lime wedges

If anyone is planning to give up alcohol for their New Year’s resolution I recommend you stock up on this to ensure you don’t feel like you are missing out. Or if you are pregnant, breast-feeding or designated driver attending a special occasion make sure you take a bottle of Shloer Celebration with you.

I spotted it on special offer in Sainsbury’s this week for only £2.50 which compared to a bottle of champagne is a total bargain!

Shloer can be enjoyed on its own poured over lots of ice, as a mixer, or as a mocktail, it’s suitable for vegetarians and gluten free.

46 kcal per 100ml compared to Sauvignon Blanc 75 kcal per 100ml, it is also a great alternative for those watching their weight/calorie intake.
