I’ll start by saying that Shaken Udder milkshakes are my new favourite milk drink. I have always had a weakness for homemade banana milkshake but it’s not the sort of thing you can grab in a hurry and as a result I hardly ever get it. I don’t normally enjoy bought milkshakes as I always find them watery and sweet or overly thick. Shaken Udder is different, it’s fresh milk for a start and the texture of all the flavours is just right.

Shaken Udder milkshakes come in a single serving clear plastic bottle so you can see what you’re about to drink, it’s also a nice shape to hold and the labelling is instantly appealing.

All the milkshakes are made using natural ingredients, no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives and British milk. Each flavour has less than 5% sugar which is probably why the flavours shine through so well. Amazingly, they contain semi skimmed milk but they taste really creamy and utterly delicious.

The top banana flavour Shaken Udder is as close to a homemade milkshake as I’ve ever managed to buy, it contains real banana instead of banana flavouring which can taste a bit like banana sweets. This tastes of banana and milk. It isn’t too gloopy or too runny, in my opinion the texture is perfect and the colour is pleasingly pale yellow, just like a banana, as it doesn’t have any added colours.

Chocolush is the perfect name for this milkshake which contains real Belgian milk chocolate as well as cocoa and is smooth and silky to drink, it doesn’t contain cream but it tastes like it does, I love it!

Vanillalicious contains visible vanilla seeds from real vanilla beans and is as delicate and delicious as I expected it to be having already tried the other two flavours and loving them.

I shall continue to buy Shaken Udder milkshakes, every time I see them as they are a nutritious treat which tastes fabulous. I love that they use fresh British milk and they are excellent value for money.
