Matt Weston (Ryan Reynolds) is a bored government agent who looks after a safe house in South Africa for "guests" of interest.  Tired of waiting for an opportunity in the field he begs his boss David Barlow (Brendon Gleeson) for a new assignment only to be told he must prove his worth.  The opportunity presents itself with the arrival of Tobin Frost (Denzel Washington) a suspected traitor of the United States who will stop at nothing to complete his mission. Reynolds must protect Frost even if this means losing those he loves, whilst establishing the true nature of the intentions of this enemy of the state – but who is the real enemy?

Washington plays an intriguing, if not complicated character whilst Reynolds shines as the underestimated star of this movie. A heart-stopping action thriller that will either have you on the edge of your seat or jumping out of it from start to finish.
