Russell Hobbs 3 in 1 Deep Fill Sandwich, Panini and Waffle Maker Review

I am a lover of kitchen gadgets and if there is a new contraption out there that I don’t own, I have to have it. I have a waffle maker and a sandwich toastie maker already but had been pining for a panini grill, so when I was offered the opportunity to review something that made all three and give me more storage space in my kitchen, I was over the moon.

I only have a tiny kitchen, so storage space is really important to me. I had been looking at this kind of storage saving kitchen gadget, that had multiple uses by changing plates for a while, but found the ones I had seen in shops were very expensive and way out of my price range. This appliance is much more affordable at an RRP of £44.99. I also love the fact that I can now recycle my old waffle and sandwich makers and have extra room in my cupboards.

This Russell Hobbs 3-in-1 sandwich, waffle and panini grill allows you to serve up crispy toasted sandwiches, perfect paninis and delicious waffle treats in minutes. It has 3 sets of interchangeable plates that pop out easily and click back in to change the use of the appliance. The removable dishwasher safe plates and compact design make this 3 in 1 grill easy to use, clean and store.

I was happy to receive my parcel quickly and it was well packaged. On opening the parcel, I was pleased to see that there was not too much extra packaging and most of it was recyclable.

I began by testing out the plates, which were easy to interchange. I then decided to have waffles for breakfast. I use oats, yogurt and egg to make my waffles as I follow Slimming World. These turned out really well and I liked the deep fill element of the device as it gave me a deeper, more filling waffle. I then made traditional waffles for my children, these also turned out great, they were lovely and golden.

The following day, I decided to make cheese and bean toasties with the sandwich plate. This was also a success and the deep fill plates ensured that the beans stayed in the sandwich rather than spilling out.

I really liked the panini plates and I grilled my vegetables on the plates before adding to my panini with cheese. I was not disappointed.

Cleaning the plates was really easy, much better than cleaning a traditional sandwich, waffle or panini maker with fixed plates. We don’t have a dishwasher, so I just popped them out and rinsed in the sink.

Overall, I am so impressed with this appliance. It is a new firm favourite and I will be recommending this to all my Slimming World buddies to help them make their perfect waffles.
