We are never too young or too old to look after ourselves. This can be in many ways, but both ladies and gentlemen should almost certainly look after our skin. I was quite late to a skincare regime, but since I crept into my forties I realised it’s an important part of my day, not just when I take some make up off!
The Rose Gift Set by Odylique comes beautifully packaged in a sturdy box with a lovely pink ribbon.
The set comprises of a 200ml creamy coconut cleanser, 50ml of timeless rose moisturiser and 50ml of calming rose super tonic. These are all boxed individually. My first impressions was I really liked the dispensers, who hasn’t squirted too much cleanser onto their hands or literally tipped half a bottle of toner out in one go. These are a welcome change and very easy to use.
The coconut cleanser feels light and is slightly scented with a hint of lemon, importantly there are no artificial ingredients in these products parabens, petrochemicals common allergen tree nut oils, wheat, soy or dairy. This left my skin feeling fresh and amazingly smooth. You should apply to your face, neck and around the eyes.
Following the cleanser I used the calming rose super tonic. You spray this on your face with your eyes closed. My first few uses I managed to over spray, but I got the hang of it. Although rose isn’t my favourite scent you cannot really smell this past the initial spray. It’s almost instantly absorbed into your skin. This should help tone soothe and hydrate your skin. This will also help those of us (well me) of a certain age, helping to reduce signs of ageing. I definitely need all the help I can get in this area.
Lastly I applied the timeless rose moisturiser, much the same as the cleanser to my face, neck and around the eyes. You really can feel the difference these products make even after just a few days. I honestly feel these three products have a made a real difference to my skin.
I really do like the way the products dispense, they are quality containers and make all the difference. Trying new products on your skin, especially your face can be quite nerve wracking, so I am delighted with how these make me feel, my skin feels like it’s delighted to!
All products are tested on human volunteers (not animals) who have sensitive and allergy prone skin. Odylique started some thirty years ago by Margaret Weeds who suffered herself with sensitive skin, started making her own products with natural ingredients in the UK. You should store your products away from light and heat to keep them at their best.
If you are looking for a gift for your mum for Mother’s Day I think she would be super chuffed to receive this set, I most certainly would recommend these particular products and you might be interested to know they also come in travel sizes, for those mums who love to holiday and take their skincare with them.
