The Rokka Makes Top 12 Inaugural Slow Toys List
The Rokka and Accessory packs from Rokka Play makes the top 12 inaugural Slow Toy list, created to celebrate traditional, well made toys that place an emphasis on natural materials, high imagination and the type of play that develops naturally with children.
The list was conceived by Asobi Toys founder Thierry Bouret as an alternative to the annual Dream Toys list, presented by the Toy Retailers Association in October and is "an inspired concept that aims to promote well made toys that are sourced ethically and leave plenty to a kid's imagination."
The Rokka is an ingenious wooden toy which combines several popular play themes for early years, including play kitchen, shop, theatre, boat and see-saw in one toy as well as providing a starting point for children to build their own imaginative play scenarios.
Built from quality birch plywood and accompanied by giant wooden spoons, fish fasteners and colourful accessories, the Rokka is proving a hit with parents, grandparents and educationalists as well as young children.
The Rokka has been endorsed by industry experts, winning several prestigious accolades this year with Junior Design Awards, Right Start Awards, Practical Pre-school Awards and Nursery World Awards.
The Rokka is available to buy online at Hamleys, Micro-scooter, Nubie and other high-end toy retailers.
