Today I am reviewing the QDOS PowerLoop 2-in-1 Lanyard in white for #WGTD.

The cable comes simply packaged in a card sleeve, making the packaging fully recyclable, which I like. The cable itself is really well-made and robust, and is made from sustainable materials, and the weave on the cable is really soft, so it should not irritate you. It weighs 78 grams and is 1.2 metres in length. Each end of the cable is a USB-C, power and data cable, which fits in the majority of smartphones. Each end is a hard plastic cap with a small metal ring attached, which enables you to attach them to the see-through tag, which fits inside your phone case to secure the lanyard. You do need your phone to be in a case to turn the cable into a lanyard. Once you have attached the clear tag inside your phone case, your phone then sits on it, which does make a really secure lanyard. It sounds really complicated, but it is really simple. The cable can handle 60W charging, and it can handle up to 480 Mbps of data.

I am unsure about the QDOS 2-in-1 PowerLoop lanyard! If like me you are always losing your power cable, or putting your phone down and forgetting where you put it, then using something like the power loop lanyard would be really useful. However to use the cable to its full potential you have to use either a plug that is USB- C compatible or have a power bank handy, I do not personally carry a power bank everywhere I go.

On the positive side during festival season, or gigs I can see the QDOS PowerLoop 2-in-1 lanyard being really useful. You would know exactly where your phone was, great for all those candid photos, or for payments, and this is when you are most likely to be carrying a power bank. There is also no reason you cannot just use it as a simple lanyard to keep your phone safe.

I think that the lanyard cable is a brilliant idea, however, I know I would get more use out of it if it had a USB-C one end and USB on the other. That would make charging and transferring of data easier. As I said I do think that the lanyard is a brilliant idea, more so for students and office workers that can get easy access to the correct power source.

The QDOS PowerLoop 2-in-1 Lanyard with USB-C, has been really well made with sustainable materials and fully recyclable packaging which I feel in the current climate is very important, the cable is soft and comfortable to wear, is easy to use and creates a very secure lanyard.
