Play-Doh Pack of 4 Sweet Colours Review

Reviewed by Paul Magnan

I am a 40 something grandad to 4 wonderful grandchildren.  I am always on the look out for little treats for them.  I was therefore delighted to receive four tubs of Play-Doh to review.   The four colours  I received were purple, blue, orange and pink.  I was pleased to discover that the product arrived in perfect condition due to being so well packaged during transit.  That said, I was also glad to find that there was not lots of excess packaging.  In fact, the cardboard outer packaging can be recycled and the pots of Play-Doh themselves can be recycled into craft projects once the Play-Doh is no longer used. I love the simplicity of the design on the Play-Doh pots.

My 8 year old grandson could not wait to get started creating his own Play-Doh creations, in fact he was so excited about his little treat from grandad.   His dad, my son, sent over pictures of his various creations, my favourite of which was a lovely house. I like the fact that you can make something and then start over and make something completely different.

What I really like about this product is that it encourages creativity.  So many different things can be made out of the Play-Doh.  You can even mix two or more colours together to make a new colour.  With the UK having been in lockdown due to the coronavirus situation since March 2020, this product could not have come along at a better time.  The Play-Doh is the perfect consistency for little hands.  It does not leave your hands feeling sticky but it sticks together well.

I have no doubt that this Playdoh will be played with again and again in the weeks to come.  I think that the set of 4 tubs are the perfect introduction to Play-Doh products.  They could be easily transported if going on a family short break and would not take up much space.  If you are someone who does not like messy play mess in the house, these could easily be taken out to the garden.

I think of Play-Doh as such a well known brand that has been around for years and I would not hesitate to buy other Playdoh products. I do like to be prepared for family birthdays and Christmas. I like the look of the following other items on the Play-Doh website for my grandson and his younger sister:

Play-Doh Kitchen Creations Spinning Treats Mixer

RRP: £17.00 but currently available on the Argos website for £12.75

Play-Doh Doctor Drill’n Fill Set

You can also buy Disney Princess, My Little Pony and Star Wars Play-Doh products at reasonable prices and I love the idea of combining Play-Doh with these well known popular characters.
