Peter Rabbit Backpack From Beatrix Potter Gifts By Enesco Review

Reviewed by Amanda Hayes

I love Easter, along with its religious background it also brings the first bank holidays of the year and the promise of Spring. Whilst chocolate eggs are on the menu for many, there are also lots of adults and children in the world, who can’t eat chocolate for various reasons, but you would still love to get a gift for.  Aside from eggs, bunny rabbits always spring to mind around Easter time and with Beatrix Potter Gifts by Enesco doing a delightful range of Peter Rabbit items I was really looking forward to reviewing the children’s backpack I had been offered.

A couple of days later the courier arrived with my parcel, which arrived well packed in a sealed bag within a sturdy box. I was immediately pleasantly surprised by the size of the backpack, expecting a toddler size mini rucksack, I was instead greeted with a full size backpack suitable for both infants and older children, it is also big enough for adults if you love Beatrix Potter designs. At 40cm high the bag provides plenty of room for everything from a sleepover to a woodland day out. Instead of a traditional zip round rucksack, the backpack features a simple flip over top secured with Velcro. The design is absolutely gorgeous, covered with beautiful illustrations of Peter Rabbit interspersed with pastel coloured butterflies and flowers. The straps are light blue webbing with a matching colour carry handle for when you don’t want it on your back, the light blue colour then carries through into the interior lining. The bag is lightly padded, making it lightweight yet sturdy, and the lining is waterproof. The waterproof lining is a great idea, making it suitable as a lunch bag, swim bag or just for sticking in a pair of wet socks at the end of a day out. Whilst I think the design is suitable for a boy or girl, if you prefer pink there is an alternative design, the Flopsy bunny backpack. Similar, but edged and lined in pink and again, beautifully illustrated but with Flopsy instead of Peter it will certainly delight any lovers of pink and/or Flopsy.

At £25.00 this isn’t really in the Easter egg price range, but unlike chocolate it won’t disappear in minutes! The backpack is a great gift that will last several years but if it is above your budget then Beatrix Potter Gifts do a large range of Easter gifts on their website, definitely do take a look. From Flopsy Bunny purses at £5.95, Flopsy and Peter Rabbit Children’s Tabards at £9.95, to Peter Rabbit Bamboo Mug & Soft Toy Gift Set at £12.00 there is something for every budget and all include the same delightful illustrations.

So, if you are looking for an Easter gift this year that doesn’t include chocolate, I recommend visiting Beatrix Potter Gifts by Enesco to see the excellent range of gifts they have in stock. There are gifts suitable for toddlers, pre-school, school aged children and adults all at reasonable prices and I have no doubt you will find just the right gift.
