Having not come across ‘Proper Goose’ but as someone who often purchases online gifts and cards I was keen to have the opportunity for this review. I was allocated to review their personalised chocolate Easter egg nest tin, which arrived in time for Easter.
The parcel arrived nicely wrapped in cardboard. No plastic or excess packing was used, making it seem eco friendly. The item itself was well presented and appears up market. A nicely designed cardboard sleeve, with the brands own goose design printed their studio, wraps around the tin. This detail adds a layer of sophistication, certainly something I would look for in a gift to make it extra nice for my recipient to receive and open. The rectangular tin itself is quite small, measuring 75mm by 109mm. This was however one of their smaller options, with larger designs available. The aluminium tin is quite stylish, with a simple Easter egg design which also allowed for your own personalisation of a name included within the price. I personally liked that personalisation was part of it as so often there is an extra charge. There was also the option to add a gift card for £1, another nice touch to complete a gift package to send directly to someone. Opening the tin displayed 19 small coloured foil covered eggs on a bed of straw like material, certainly creating a ‘nest’ of eggs. These eggs were all milk chocolate and pleasant to eat. For me the tin was the best part as I hope to use this again next Easter and re fill with little treats for my son.
Priced at £12 you may initially think that this is quite expensive. However once you account for the personalisation, a tin that can be re used, and postage included within the price, it seems more reasonable. Therefore in our current socially distanced world where postal gifts are a thoughtful and fun way to show that you are thinking of your family and friends this is certainly a great option for Easter. The package fitted neatly within my letterbox, another bonus so that recipients can receive without being in. A little bundle of joy to drop through a loved ones letter box!
The fairly new brand, established in 2016 by a husband and wife team, believes the ‘giving and receiving of cards and gifts should never die out.’ The website is easy to use and offers an array of unique personalised gifts. An easter themed section on the website makes it easier to browse and I would certainly now consider this site as an option for future gifts. Prices also vary, with a section for gifts under £10, providing an option for everybody. Free royal mail delivery on all items means the price you see is the total to send.
All in all, a great little Easter treat and a brand that I would recommend and use myself for future gift options.
