Peppa Pig’s Adventure! at the Kings Theatre Glasgow Review

Based on the children’s TV series this live production of the much loved programme really does bring Peppa and her friends to life. The life size characters are full of fun as they sing and dance around the stage.

The story begins with Peppa and her class friends at school with their favourite teacher Miss Gazelle. What a great day to go to school as they are going on a class camping trip. With Daddy Pig driving the bus they all head off on their exciting adventure. Act two is full of fun as they sit around the campfire learning about all the nocturnal animals – too excited to sleep in their tents. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Peppa Pig adventure without jumping in muddle puddles. Which they all get to do the next morning after a night of rain.

This simple colourful production is full of fun. My 17-month-old daughter was engrossed as she watched the very recognisable characters. Clapping and dancing as they sang. There was a good amount of audience participation to keep the kids engaged and excited by way of the friendly daisy and the famous narrator.

The Kings Theatre provided a great location for the show. It was a very child friendly environment. With a room for buggies and very helpful staff. And with a lot of Peppa memorabilia your child will be spoilt for choice. Located in the city centre the theatre is easily accessible and has a huge choice of restaurants and shops around to make it a great family day out.

We had a great time watching Peppa and her friends and would definitely recommend to friends and family of all ages! My daughter thoroughly enjoyed watching her favourite characters as well as the older kids singing, shouting, clapping and dancing.
