My family and I visited Parham House in Sussex when the ‘Grow Your Own’ event was taking place (17 August 2014). There were various stalls with natural products which I really like. We loved the bee’s and talking to the man running this stall, he was very interesting and knowledgeable.

There were some activities for the children to do such as throwing hoops over garden tools and knocking over plant pots which they could win prizes on. Francis the previous winner of Great British Bake Off was also there doing some cookery demonstrations. The favourite part for the children was seeing the pig with her five day old piglets, lovely.

We then had a look round the gardens which were stunning, we could have spent hours here, the attention to detail and care was obvious and the views were gorgeous. I imagine that each season will bring a whole new experience.

The house was very interesting and there was lots to see. We spoke to the staff members there who were very knowledgeable about the house and the items within.

We will definitely come back and spend a day here, well several days actually. I will also be keeping an eye out for future events.

Thank you Parham House.
