The OXO Tot 4 Piece Toddler Feeding Set looks fantastic in a sleek green and white, with a plate, bowl, spoon and fork. My 16 moth old Elsa really enjoyed picking up the cutlery which was strangely shaped at first glance, although ergonomically designed to fit into children’s hands. The cutlery also features a flat bottom that stopped them rolling off the high chair.
The plate comes with a large lip around the circumference which helped keep her often errant peas on the plate, rather than the floor and she had no problems getting at the food to feed herself. Apparently the lip can be removed when no longer needed.
Both plate and bowl have rubber bottoms to stop them sliding about on the shiny surface of the high chair, which is a blessing as Elsa likes to push her crockery around, often toppling over the edge and into the path of the ever-hungry dog who places himself in close vicinity at meal times.
The large bowl (360ml capacity) has a lid which helps keep any uneaten fruit fresh in the fridge too.
The only complaint is that they are shaped in such and way that they perform their designated tasks with aplomb, but they won’t fit into the strict sections of the dishwasher very well. It’s not the end of the world, you can obviously hand wash them, but it is certainly worth bearing in mind.
The feeding set costs £18 to purchase which is a little on the pricey side however you’d expect to pay a little more for something so well designed.
Overall, they look good, Elsa liked using them and they solved a good number of problems that come with meal times so the set is highly recommended.
