The packaging of this camera is quite retro; I can remember disposable cameras being presented in packs shaped just like this. It’s very colourful and highlights all the features clearly, there is also a QR code to scan for more information.

In addition to the actual camera you also get a 1 GB micro SD card, a USB-C charging cable and a key chain. I had a little panic when unpacking everything as I couldn’t see the SD card but eventually saw that it was already in the camera and just needed clicking in, it is very small and could easily be lost if not kept in the camera. The camera was already charged up to three bars but I topped it up to four bars before using, there is a red light to show it’s charging and the light goes out when it is fully charged.

On first look it’s hard to believe they have packed so many features into this tiny camera, the viewing screen on the back has a diagonal measurement of one inch, it takes photos and videos with sound and in colour, has a built in flash and microphone and fourteen fun filter effects to add to your photos. The controls are simple two little buttons on the top, one for the shutter and one for changing the modes then one button on the side with up and down arrows for scrolling. The photos and videos can be deleted by pressing and holding the shutter button. There are instructions on how to reset the camera if it gets frozen or crashes.

I used the camera inside and outside and it worked well in both locations the quality wasn’t fantastic but considering the size of the camera I was impressed: I got one or two that were blurred but it was easy enough to delete and take again. I spent a good hour playing around with all this camera had to offer and the battery still had some charge left in it, to preserve the battery the camera will shut down if not used for two minutes.

Although it’s made from plastic it feels sturdy, I think it will be robust enough to withstand lots of use. I can see this toy being lots of fun for children to take on holiday or short trips, the keychain is quite sturdy and would easily clip onto their rucksacks, the children in our family are always wanting to take photos or pose for photos and as they are too young to have a mobile phone they would love this.

Available in six styles original, retro, pro, compact, instant and vintage each style is also in a different colour.

Suitable for ages eight and up and priced at £15.00 this would make a lovely stocking filler, tree or table gift, it is available from many major retailers including Argos
