A duo of facial moisturisers to hydrate and care for the skin for 24 hours a day for glow, brightening and cell renewal. What a lovely skincare gift for someone special in your life.
The two products come as a set and are packed in one large box with pictures showing the individual items. Inside the box there are two further boxes containing the actual jars of moisturiser. Olay Vitamin C Day Cream and Olay Retinol 24 Night Cream each containing 50ml of product which are manufactured in Poland.
The Olay Vitamin C Day Cream is beautifully presented in an orange coloured bowl shaped glass jar with a white plastic lid which are both recyclable. The cream is white and has quite a thick consistency and a lovely delicate fresh smell.
When I applied it to my face and neck it was easily absorbed and left my skin feeling very soft and refreshed. I like that the day cream includes SPF 30 so I can feel confident that my skin is protected from harmful UVA and UVB rays. The manufacturers say that this product is ‘for those who want brighter-looking skin. It delivers transformative skin results instantly and over time and penetrates up to 10 layers deep to help activate surface cell renewal.’ After using for a few days I do feel that my skin has a fresh glow to it and it feels very soft and hydrated. I have mature skin with natural signs of aging with fine lines and wrinkles. This cream ticks all the boxes for my requirements. My only caveat is that this product may not be suitable for sensitive skin and to make sure not to put it too close to the eye area as it can sting.
Moving on to the Retinol 24 Night Cream, which is also presented in the same style jar, although this time the bowl is a lovely shade of purple. The night cream is also white, but this one is not as thick and is unperfumed. The product contains Retinyl Propionate (Vitamin A), Vitamin E and Glycerine which together smooth skin texture, combat free-radical damage and help the skin to retain moisture, keep, it hydrated and soft. The cream feels very luxurious when applied to the face and neck and absorbed almost instantly. Olay say ‘Retinol 24 Night Cream is scientifically proven to increase cell turnover rate, minimise pores and reduce skin age, your skin will never be brighter.’ After a night’s sleep I woke feeling my skin was still hydrated and soft.
This is a lovely set which would make a great gift for that special someone, or your mum or sister. I do like that although the jars are the same size and shape they look very different in colour so that when I am using them as part of my skincare routine and I am not wearing my glasses I can easily differentiate between the two. I would happily recommend the Olay Power of Radiance Gift-set and. Would be delighted to receive it as a gift myself.
