North London’s go-to cultural hub, artsdepot, is celebrating its 20th anniversary with its biggest Springtime Season yet, as much-loved tales leap from the page to the stage.
Whether marking Easter, Eid, or Passover, enjoy time together as a family at the venue’s two theatres, the free soft play area playdepot with giant foam blocks, a chalkboard wall, and a book swap corner.

Cracking shows for family fun
From the quirky to the classic, youngest members of the family can see a brave young girl take on trouble in Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s wickedly funny tale The Baddies (Friday 4 – Sunday 6 April 2025) featuring a witch, a troll, and a ghost who love being bad.
Little ones can also channel their inner pop princess or naughty knight in The Worst Princess (Friday 11 – Sunday 13 April 2025 at 11am and 2pm) and have giggles galore with pants-obsessed Pirates Love Underpants (Thursday 17 – Monday 21 April 2025) who also bring songs, laughs, and wonderful stories.
For a play with clay followed by a hands-on clay workshop, award-winning Indefinite Articles with their work for the very young: Claytime (Wednesday 16 – Thursday 17 April 2025), where the audience help invent the show.
Older children will love Farm Boy (Wednesday 16 April 2025) a feel-good tale with enthralling storytelling, based on Michael Morpurgo’s sequel to War Horse. And English Touring Opera return with The Vanishing Forest (Monday 7 April 2025), a Shakespearean-infused show which follows the events of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
The Little Yoga Art Club
The Little Yoga Art Club camps take place from 7-10 April featuring full days of themed activities designed for kids aged 4 – 11. With yoga practice inspired by stories, movement, music and mindfulness alongside arts, crafts activities and games galore, children can learn, play and relax after a busy school term. Book a day ticket starting from 10am for one or more days here.
Join the Book Buzz
artsdepot’s annual book-tastic day celebrates books, reading, and the powerful stories of rebel girls. Families can enjoy storytelling with Rosie Tells Tales and Ella Phillips, playwriting workshops, craft activities, book swapping, and dressing up. Takes place throughout artsdepot on Sunday 13 April. No need to book, just turn up on the day.
