My 1st Photos Fabric Photo Album Review

Reviewed by Julie Jessup
I love to purchase handmade items from small businesses, so you can imagine my delight at being chosen to review My 1st Photos.
My 1st Photos is exactly that, a fabric book of photos that you can give to your baby as a keepsake forever.
It is ordered all online, the process is very easy and simple, so you can choose what you want to go in your photo book.
As most of you know from reading my other reviews, I love getting things for my granddaughter and I was overjoyed to be able to put together this album for her.
I hardly ever used to take photos before the iPhone and now I am constantly taking photos and uploading them to Facebook. That is great but not something I can give to my granddaughter.
So I excitedly logged on to the My 1st Photos website and created an album. As they say on their website, it is as easy as ABC, and it is. Firstly you upload your photos, then your text, then you order, you cannot get a process any more easy, so I applaud them for that, as many a time I have gone to order something personalised and given up at the first stage, but not with this company.
I decided that I would simply have my granddaughters name on the front. You can have anything, it could be my family, my holiday, my animals it depends what is relevant to your little one.
Then I chose the photos, that was the hardest part for me as I wasn’t sure what photos to use. I did change them around a few times and again this is easy to do. One side of the book is the black text on a white background and it is in large letters, then the other side is the photograph pertaining to the text. You can see an example of the album in action before you purchase it.
The photo book that I have contains six pages. It is handmade in Guildford Surrey, is 100 percent polyester and what I also loved is that you can hand wash it, a we all know eventually after much use it will become a little grubby. The photos can be in colour or black and white I decided on colour. The albums measure 14x14cm and due to being made out of material are easy for little hands to hold. It is excellent quality.
You can give these to newborn babies as the edges are rounded and so no sharp edges. Ideally a black and white one would be fantastic for young babies as they can only see in black and white until they are around four months old. The ink used is totally safe.
The company is owned by two ladies, who are both mummies. They keep in contact with you and update you on your order. I was told my album would take approximately two weeks and it arrived within the week, very impressive. You also have the option to talk to someone online so they can almost instantly answer any queries.
Nadine and Sarah started their business in 2018 and recently won the Best New Business/Start Up at the Biz Awards, which is commendable, as these ladies had to teach themselves to sew, print and design. You can follow their story on all social media sites.
I have to say looking at their site makes me smile as you can tell how dedicated they are and they have so many lovely positive comments, which they really do deserve.
My granddaughter is at the squealing with excitement stage when she sees anything she likes, and she let out one big happy squeal when I showed her this. She absolutely loves it.
This would make a fantastic Christmas present and would be very well received.
You can also purchase a beautiful personalised baby photo quilt, photo comforter blanket with ribbon, photos printed on fabric for you to do your own crafting, various sized albums and gift vouchers.
I am awarding an easy 5/5 stars this company is very exciting and I have never seen products like this elsewhere.
