Last night, as a family (two adults and a 10 year old), we visited the new Mundo Pixar Experience that has just landed in Wembley Park, London. It’s an immersive exhibition celebrating some of Disney’s most beloved Pixar films including Toy Story, Cars and my favourite Coco, giving us the chance to literally step into the movie scenes and have photos with our favourite characters. Although I hadn’t seen all the films showcased (they are now on my list!), I am familiar with them, and on entry to each room there was a short synopsis for anyone unfamiliar with the story. They offer audio description and British Sign Language videos to ensure the experience is accessible to all and it is wheelchair friendly throughout.

Starting with the boring bit – I would urge you to use public transport to get there. I didn’t and I had to use an extra helping of Disney Magic to bring my stress levels down after driving around looking for car parking. I would imagine it would be a whole lot worse on Wembley Stadium event days! Wembley Park tube is walking distance away and I’m sure plenty of bus links too!

The experience consists of 14 themed rooms and has ticketed timeslots to control visitor numbers. This ensures that everybody gets the best out of it and can move around each room comfortably. It follows a one-way system and at no point were we rushed to move on. There are several photo opportunities in each room so we weren’t all queuing to take the same shot at once, and there are staff on hand who are more than willing to help out and take group photos for you with your phone. There are some really fun pictures to create from sitting in the ‘Up’ house living room chairs to being a fish in the sea inside a diver’s mask in Finding Nemo, and our favourite – the supersized ‘Andy’s Bedroom’ and ‘Sunnyside Daycare’ from Toy Story that gave us a chance to see everything from a toy’s perspective. You can expect all the Disney attention to detail that big and little fans alike will love!

The whole experience took us approximately an hour. On arrival, once through security checks, there is a cloakroom and toilets, and when exiting the exhibition there is a gift shop selling a vast array of merchandise from plushies to clothing and everything in between. For anyone who has visited a Disney theme park before, you will be familiar with the concept. Ensure the kids save their pocket money beforehand and set a budget because it is very easy to leave having spent a small fortune! Everything is just lush!!

Although not a long experience, this really is a must for any Disney/Pixar fan, whatever your age. It’s perfect to do before a show or concert at the arena or stadium, or couple it up with a wander around the shops and eateries in Wembley Park. It’s like a little slice of Disneyland in the heart of London and if you have a wannabe Woody or your little one is Car mad, this is sure to make all their dreams come true!
