Mother’s Day 2018 Naturaline Beauty Gift Ideas Review

Reviewed by Dawn Watson

Oh how I love my pots of creams, lotions and potions. So you can just imagine how excited I was to receive a gorgeous box filled to the brim with lots of my favourite things!

Naturaline was not a brand I was familiar with and on browsing the internet I found that this is in fact a fairly new product to the UK, although not new to its native Switzerland. As I age and read more information on different products, especially beauty products, I become more and more concerned and interested in what I am actually putting on my skin – so these products from Naturaline certainly will be of interest, not just to me but to a lot of my friends who more and more are looking for a natural approach to skin and body care. All their products are Vegan, not tested on animals and all carry the ECOCERT Natural Quality Cosmetics Label. They are also free of artificial perfumes and colourings and mineral oil-based ingredients. So let’s begin, I cannot unfortunately comment on results for any of the products as I have just started using them but I will fill you in on what I love about them… or otherwise.

Firstly, packaging and price… eye catching and one that tells you exactly what it does right there on the box… and price point in my opinion is just right. Not high end save up for weeks to afford, one that is affordable but of high quality. I will now take you through each product I was lucky enough to receive.

Starting with day creams, I received two and I loved both equally.

Alpine Rose Day Cream (RRP: £13.49) comes in a 50ml tub, easy to open and the aroma hits you as soon as you open it. A gorgeous thick luxurious cream. A little goes a long way, it felt beautiful on – not greasy, it left my skin feeling plump, and with a gorgeous ‘glow’ to it, great especially just now when we are all hiding away under lots of layers of clothing and heating full blast. It also contains Argan, known for its moisturising properties. It says, ‘Intense Nutrition for normal to Dry skin’ and I can see why – my skin felt soft all day.

The next cream I tried was another day cream, this time aimed at more combination skin – this too was a 50ml containing Edelweiss which is a well know anti-ageing properties… wow I loved this cream, my fine laughter lines around my eyes appeared less and my skin looked healthier and more refreshed. Not such a strong fragrance but I don’t mind that. It was a luxurious thick cream once again… even showing my friend on the back of my hand you could see the difference from one hand to the other how it had immediately lifted and plumped the skin… love it.

From face lotions now onto body and something a bit different. This is a peppermint and bamboo lotion – this is a much lighter lotion and quickly absorbs into the skin, great after showering as the fragrance is so invigorating and uplifting, peppermint has antiseptic properties too which is good. As I do a lot of running I loved this as it wasn’t too heavy on the skin.

Basil is one of my favourite herbs, so I was intrigued to see how it fitted in with a shower gel. This one is Basil and Lemongrass… yum! It smells divine, I actually couldn’t stop smelling it – it’s refreshing, uplifting, ‘clean’ … I love it… .and a very little squeeze goes a long way… and the fragrance really lasts, such a lovely smell…. and not in any way drying to the skin at all.

Next I tried a product I’ve never looked at or thought about before but it was one for us females – an Intimate Wash Lotion from Mallow Flower and Ladies Mantle… this is a wash lotion specifically ensuring that it is naturally PH balanced to use in your intimate areas with no affects. It was perfect no stingy bits.

Liposome Eye Cream – I am quite particular about what I use near my eyes, as well as being quite sensitive I also wear contact lenses which can determine what I use near them. I have to say this product was perfect… non-greasy and easily absorbed, you could smell the pomegranate extract, which is a new one for me, I definitely could see after a few days how this seemed to plump up my dry areas around my eyes.

And talking of eyes they also have an eye make-up remover, which is a lotion and completely oil free. The aloe vera works to take away any trace of water-soluble eye make-up and was very gentle. Another cleanser they also have is their Cucumber and Guava Facial wash was another very refreshing cleansing product… It was very gentle on my sensitive skin and removed all traces of make up quite effectively… again lovely fresh smell and good value for money.

I love a wee lip balm – and this one will be a new handbag favourite… containing almond and macadamia nut oils it was rich and soothing and you could immediately feel your lips feeling smoother and more moisturised… Only a tiny amount was needed and the 10ml tube was a perfect make up bag size addition.

Lastly, I was sent a ‘Couperose and thread vein balm‘ to try. This lotion claims to balance out redness and reduces the appearance of thread veins – unfortunately I have only had for a day so not been able to fully see the benefits of this cream, however what a gorgeous cream, It has a slight green/aqua tinge colour to it, perfect to reduce redness but I loved the texture and feel of this cream, even using on a slight veiny hand you can see the potential of this cream… I will definitely keep using.

Well what a line of goodies I had to try… I don’t normally get so excited with a new beauty brand but this one I will, it’s all natural, it smells divine, it is vegan, it is gorgeous and so affordable.

What a perfect Mother’s Day gift… I will point my girls in the direction of my favourites and I am sure they will become a beauty cupboard staple for me.

Absolutely 5* for me.
