This cute little bear arrived in the post with its poem. The first thing we noticed is how soft it was and squidgy. There was no packaging just the mail bag it came in. The bears are made from recycled materials and are 100% recyclable. They are suitable from ages 3 and up and pass all the European and British toy safety standards.

The mood bears look like ordinary bears but are in fact designed to help express feelings and helping to support manage them. There are currently 8 bears to choose from Happy, Sad, Calm, Angry, Nervous, Hope, Love and Silly.

The bears all have their own unique colours to match their mood based on psychology and each has paw shapes indicating their mood. The bears each have a little poem to go with them, which is attached on a little card on their ear, these can also be viewed on the website and you can also listen to the poem when you click on each bear. They were designed by a mental health suffer to help others going through similar problems, the idea is that children and adults can relate to the bears and share their feelings.

I chose the calm bear which is a light green colour, I wanted it for my daughter and myself as we are currently suffering from anxiety and finding it hard to remain calm. So I thought we could both benefit and I will be purchasing another one so we both have one. We love the colour and it is so soft, and the green colour is a really calm colour. We are really into recycling and saving the planet so the fact its made from recycled materials as well made us happy. She sits it in her head board and talks to it before she goes to sleep if she has any worries, then I take it to my room. We are looking forward to getting another and choosing some other ones in the future.

I would definitely recommend these for young children who find it difficult to express their feelings and for adults and older children. I work in a school for children with SEN and I think these bears could benefit a lot of our children.

The bears start at £12.99 for a mini bear, we were gifted a mini bear for the purpose of this review.

The big bears are £22.99, they also sell the bears as a whole set, this varies in price depending on if you want a mini set or large set. Some of the bears have been made into a talking bear it comes with a little blanket attached, these are slightly more expensive.

The website is really well laid put and has lots of information about the background of the bears and an introduction to each bear and the poem that goes with them. It’s very clear and colourful.

One of the things I loved is that you can sponsor a mood bear of your choice and it will be donated to an adult or child in a hospital and they can keep this to take home.

I would Rate this bear 5/5 and would definitely be recommending to friends, they would make great little gifts.
I think they are reasonably priced and love the concept and the story about how the mood bears came about and the support towards mental health as this is becoming something we are seeing more of in children and adults over the last few years.

The bears can found here https://moodbears.com
They currently have some offers on their love bears for valentines day.
