Modibodi Mens Limited Edition Holiday Trunks 3 Pack Review

I was intrigued when asked to review the MODIBODI Mens Trunk 3 Pack. My husband as been a long time user of Calvin Klein, so it was going to be tough to convince him to try another brand and type of trunk. It did not take long to convince him. He loved the feel of them before he even put them on and now the opposition is out of the window and he can not wait to buy more the the Modibodi brand of trunks.

Onto the trunks.

There were three different trunks in two different colours and one patterned., one in particular was very festive if I say so myself and even my husband was very impressed (please see below for further information on the colours and designs). They all came in a beautifully natural colour drawstring bag with the lovely motto ‘Better for your body, better for the planet’. The quality of the bag was very impressive, so we were not at all surprised when we opened the drawstring bag to take the trunks out.

OMG! They felt so grand and the quality is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. My husband described them that ‘one they were on and he was dressed for work, it actually felt like he did not have anything on under his trousers, they are that comfortable’. Now that is a big statement from my husband has he is very fussy about the type and style of trunks he wears.

On the MODIBODI website, they claim that these trunks are essential for a hot summers day, as we are in the middle of minus temperatures at the moment at the time of my review (11th December 2022), it is not possible for me to comment on that, however, what I can say it that what what my husband agrees with with the gusset is lovely as it has soft Merino wool and as he is used to minus temperatures as low as -38, he can definitely confirm that they really do absorb seat and controls odour by absorbing them whilst still feeling dry and fresh. This statement is on the MODIBODI website and my husband can 100% agree with that statement.

We were both amazed to find out what these trunks were made from (please see below for further information). Who knew that the product they were made from could be so very soft.

My husband works 14 hour days and said that he never felt so comfortable, clean and fresh, whilst remaining very warm at the same time. There was no rubbing or friction and to be honest, they look so good. Very exquisite and luxurious. He explained that with climbing up and down ladders, bending up and down (he works with machinery, so he is very active), they really did stand the test of time, again, so lightweight, that he forgot he had them on. He also can be on the road a lot, driving for hours, he said from that perspective, they were very comfortable, neither of them stuck to him if he sat down for long periods of time, nor did they feel like riding up.

My husband said that they would be suitable for any man of any age including middle to elder teenagers as they are very fashionable.

*To activate your Modibodi’s magic powers, wash before use.

I have to completely agree with this as we wear merino wool base layers when we go away in minus temperatures. Merino wool needs to be washed to help prevent pilling (this is where you get those really tiny balls of fluff). I just put the trunks on a very quick 15 minute wash at 20° for their first wash.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR TRUNKS – *The following was taken from the MODIBODI website
*Step 1. Pop them in the wash before you wear them for the first time. This helps to activate the tech in the undies!
*Step 2. Rinse in cold water after use <30° Do not soak, just rinse until the water runs clear!
*Step 3. Cold wash (now or later) In a delicates bag is even better!
*Step 4. Hang dry. Reuse. Repeat! Go you eco warrior!
*Step 5. Hold the fabric softener. This reduces the product’s function!

To dry the trunks, we just hung them up in the airing cupboard. They dried very quickly and as if they were new.

Can not fault this in anyway, love the environmental concept and they really are amazing. Yes, they are £41.00 but again, think about how you will be helping the environment, the animals and last but not least, the quality. As the old saying goes, you really do get what you pay for and these men’s trunks are no exception to that statement. Sheer quality.
