Mini Micro 3in1 Deluxe Push Along Scooter Review

Reviewed by Bharti Patel

Micro Scooters are well known for scooters, but what you may not know is about all the research they have done into active lifestyles for children and what works well for the various stages of a child’s life, the initiative is called Play for Life. Not all scooters are the same and the Micros Scooters range shows exactly that. My recently turned 2-year-old isn’t the most confident on his brother’s scooter and until I tried him with one of the clever O-bars. The O-bar is designed for little hands, it gives them much more control then the usual T-bar and the best part is you also get a T-bar to switch out to when they are ready to progress.

We decided, as he is 2, he would be much better off with the next range up, which was the 3in1 Deluxe Push Along Scooter. It is available in blue and pink, featuring a ride on seat, adjustable T-bar and removable parent steering handle. It also has an extra grippy footplate making it suitable for children that are steady walkers all the way to Reception year, there is a height and weight limits which are available on the website.

When you purchase the scooter, it does need to be put together, but it is really simple and all the tools you require are in the box. Also, all the parts only fit one way making it even easier to put together.

The navigation using the adjustable height parent steering handle is quite sensitive, once you are more familiar with the steering handle its very easy to navigate the scooter. What I did find is that when my little one was going off track and heading towards a road or bush, or somewhere else he wasn’t meant to go I could quickly grab the handle to get him back on track. This is really handy when teaching your child how to navigate the scooter, saving you from having to lean over or try grab the scooter. My child thought he was totally in control which was great for his confidence and when he got tired mummy could push him along rather than have to carry it back whilst he walked. The scooter is well designed and perfect to help little ones not only with co-ordination but fine motor skills and confidence. My son was quite scared of using a scooter but very excited about the seated scooter, this in most cases is the problem. Finding a way to take the fear away allowing them to be willing to try something they have never done before.

Once your child is old enough to not sit and scoot, the clever people at Micro Scooter have made it simple to remove the steering handle and seat making it a standard scooter. The handle can be removed without any additional tools, to remove the seat you do require the hex key you get in the box to put it together so it’s worth keeping them safe.

Scooting is such a good way to get children out, exercising in a way that they don’t think they are and great for social meetings with other friends with scooters.

If you are looking to make a scooter purchase, I would highly recommend getting a 3in1, you can make immediate use of it and change it when needed as your child becomes more confident.
