When I saw my box of Canvino in the lovely pastel colours I immediately thought of all the great outdoor events/ picnics in the summer ahead and having a fun time with my girlfriends, oh and not forgetting the garden barbecues. It can’t come soon enough for me.
However as it’s still only January I took the cans with me on a train trip to London. Two cans fit perfectly in my handbag and I didn’t have the bother of having to take glasses. I just drank it straight from the can, what a lovely way to sample the wine while watching the countryside roll by.
The cans of wine are 200ml and equal 2.1 units of alcohol and 10.5% abv. There are two varieties Rose and Bianco. Both are beautifully light, not too sweet and very easy to drink.
They are naturally sparking which means no CO2 has been added and I think the sparkle lasted longer once opened, but this could be because of the can I’m not sure.
Canvino is a relatively new company but the wine is produced in the Italian region of Lombardy on a small 4th generation family owned vineyard that was established in 1921. The aim of the company is to “fuse the best of Italian wine with the convenience of modern day living” and I think they have achieved this.
Having the wine in cans is such a good idea , they are easy to transport to any outdoor event, also good to keep in your fridge at home for those times when you just fancy the one glass of wine and your companion fancies a different drink or no drink at all. No need to open a whole bottle and something that is very important in today’s world the cans are 100% recyclable, aluminium and the wine is suitable for vegans.
For a limited time if you sign up to the House of Canvino newsletter as well as learning more about the brand and getting access to deals and giveaways you will receive 10% off of your first order.
I would like to think that as the brand becomes more established more varieties of wine will be introduced as the two types available now would not suit anyone who likes a particularly sweet wine.
The company is represented on all the most popular social media sites Instagram, Facebook and twitter and have there own blog.
In summary this is the perfect product for the summer ahead. It could be taken as a gift to the host of any at home event or birthday.
