“Arrive as strangers, leave as friends”
“Amazingly relaxing experience”

On arrival at Manor Farm in Bleasby we were greeted by the owners Caroline and Andrew who couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. The farm is set in beautiful countryside and the buildings housing the function room and tea shoppe are recently renovated whilst keeping the traditional feel of the farm. We were offered refreshments in the tea shoppe, before being shown to our accommodation.

We stayed in the amazing Shepherds Hut, a bespoke handmade ‘hut’ based on the original design of accommodation that shepherds traditionally used to watch their sheep overnight. It is situated in a secluded, private spot, whilst being a stone’s throw from the tea shoppe and the luxurious shower room. The hut has been lovingly designed and furnished to a lovely standard (photos just can’t do it justice!). It contains a unique ‘mini’ log burner, which keeps the hut fabulously warm, even on a cold January night. The bed was super comfy, with handmade drawers underneath and beautiful linen, in keeping with the feel of the hut. Caroline had provided homemade shortbread and a selection of warm drinks to keep us going between the gastro evening and delicious breakfast.

Manor Farm offer gastro dining on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings in their newly developed function room, furnished with traditional wooden tables and a cosy open fireplace. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and the menu is varied, offering meat, fish and vegetarian options. The food was delicious and presented beautifully, the chef even took the time to come and talk to us at the end of the meal, which was a lovely touch. The desserts are made by their award winning kitchen apprentice and the chocolate box with truffles were divine!

We headed back to our ‘hut’ (just a few paces from the restaurant) for a relaxing, cosy and amazingly quiet night’s sleep and were kept snug all night by the log burner and clever insulation.

In the morning we awoke to the ducks on the little pond outside the hut and headed across to the private en suite rooms of the hut – definitely ‘glamping’ at its best! This is not simply a ‘shower block’ but a private cluster of dressing rooms containing a power shower and everything else you need to get ready in comfort (and beautifully warm too!).

Breakfast was provided in the busy little tea shoppe, which was as delicious as the night before, with once again friendly staff who couldn’t do enough to help.

This is the most relaxing night I have spent in a long time (having 4 year old twins, relaxing is a rare luxury!). From the moment we arrived there was an air of calm and peacefulness about the place and the warm welcome we received from the owners and staff only added to this. I would highly recommend Manor Farm for their tea shoppe, gastro dining or to treat yourself to an amazing relaxation experience at shepherds hut.
