A good night’s sleep can help in so many ways. You feel rested, relaxed and ready to start the day after a night of comfortable, uninterrupted sleep. So having a decent mattress and pillow is key.
My mum has been having trouble sleeping for a number of months now and so finding a mattress to resolve this issue was going to be quite the challenge, or so I thought as there are so many on the market, where do you start?
I was delighted when I was offered a Mammoth Every Wake® Mattress to review. It arrived quickly in perfect condition. The delivery company were pleasant and could not be more helpful.
There are 3 different mattresses in the Mammoth Wake range; The Essential, The Wake Plus and The Wake Advanced. We received The Wake Advanced double mattress, which uses healthcare technology to ease away your aches and improve sleep and feature:
- 1000 full-sized pocket springs
- 30mm of naturally cooling medical grade foam
- Comfort fibre layer
- 200mm deep
After getting it upstairs and installed on to the bed base, my mum quickly put the mattress to its first test. What did it feel like to sit on? She said it was very comfortable and did not want to get off. I tried laying down on it to see if it helped with the shoulder problems I have been having, I felt like I could go to sleep there and then until the next morning. There was no question that my mum was having this mattress though, I was determined to resolve her sleeping issues.
The first night she slept on it she stayed in bed the whole night, rather than waking up early in the morning unable to get back to sleep. She has felt much more rested than when sleeping on her old mattress. When I say rested, I mean that she sleeps for longer, has less restless nights and has no trouble getting back to sleep after waking during the night and it is so comfortable that she doesn’t want to get out of bed when it is time to get up.
Features & benefits of the mattress:
- Wake®, Rise®, and Shine® now make up the Mammoth mattress family.
- The mattress is only available at Argos.
- The Wake® mattress has comfortable and bouncy pocket strings. No more uncomfortable springs to sleep on.
- The mattress is hypoallergenic.
- Medical Grade™ Foam technology – the mattress has been tested and found to improve sleep.
- The mattress comes with a 10 year guarantee.
I think that the fact that the mattress has a 10 year guarantee makes it even better value. That is comfortable sleep for 10 years, so from just £44.90 per year (for the Wake Advance double mattress, singles start from £229 and Superking £549). At prices like that you could buy Mammoth mattresses for the whole family.
I waited to write the review until my mum had tested out this mattress over a period of time. It has definitely resolved her sleep issues and therefore given her a better quality of life. No more sneaking down to the lounge in the early hours due to having trouble sleeping for her. That is real peace of mind for myself too. I was not surprised to read that Mammoth is partnered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and is the go-to provider in professional sport.
I am actually considering buying one for myself as I think that it will no doubt help with the aches and pains that go along with being a 40 something man who works in a trade and is hands on all day.
With Christmas fast approaching, a Mammoth mattress would make an excellent thoughtful practical Christmas gift for someone special in your life, what could be better than giving the gift of a really comfortable night’s sleep for years to come. Please visit www.argos.co.uk/brands/mammoth to browse the Mammoth range of mattresses on the Argos website, prices start from £229.
I would have to give this mattress an easy 5/5 rating for comfort and a good night’s sleep. If the time has come for you to replace your mattress, me and my mum can highly recommend the Mammoth Wake mattress.
