Lowde Fest 14: More Music, More Beer and More Family Fun Than Ever Before
VENUE: Hartley Wintney, Hampshire – 5th July 2014
• See over 20 great live bands and acts
• Over 40 different real ales and ciders
• Fantastic food from around the world
FOLLOWING a massive success in 2013, Lowde Fest, the fund raising music and beer festival in Hampshire, has announced its full line up of music for the main stage in 2014.
Now in its 4th year, the festival has grown from just a single small tent to one of the country’s most loved family events. With three thousand people expected to attend this year’s event on the 5th July, the organisers have expanded the venue and taken over extra fields to cope.
Despite its growing popularity, the founder, Martin Lowde insists he is remaining true to the original idea of providing a professional platform for up and coming new musical talent, while guaranteeing a fabulous day out for the whole family. Lowde Fest offers great food, fun bars, and entertainment for kids of all ages.
Talking about this year’s event Martin explains: “We always start with two key ingredients: great music from over 20 fantastic acts, plus the largest selection of real ales and ciders at any music festival.
“This year we had over 200 applications by bands from across the South East wanting to play and we employed extra staff to whittle the list down to the best 20. We are now really excited about the talent on stage and can guarantee a party for all.”
Lowde Fest raises money for the Lowde Music Trust, which supports a range of charities and good causes under the banner of Music For Good. Festival profits will this year be contributing to Radio Lollipop (hospital radio for children) as well as the innovative Lowde Music Enterprise Award, which helps young musicians and music entrepreneurs get a foot on the ladder.
The 2014 line up of acts on the main stage includes some great bands from the surrounding area including WELCOME PARIAH from Southampton, ANNOY THE BOY from Sherfield on Loddon, THE BADLAND ROOTS from Guildford and THE SALTS from Godalming.
The event takes place on July 5th 2014 in the rock and roll venue of Hazeley Bottom, near Hartley Wintney, Hampshire.
