My five year old daughter loves dogs so I was really happy to be chosen for this review, I am always looking for an ultra realistic looking dog for her. These Living Nature Mum and Pup look liked they would tick the box for her.
The dogs arrive in a gorgeous brown cardboard kennel with a carry handle, perfect to play with and to keep your new pet safe and sound. The door is even perforated so you can open it to get your puppy in and out of its new home, in the kennel is lined with straw so your new pet is nice and comfy on its travels.
All of the packaging and the animals themselves from Living nature are made in the most sustainable way the animals are made using recycled plastic, they are eco friendly and are sustainable, over 95% of their toys are made using plastic bottles or plastic containers that would otherwise end up in landfill so they really are doing their bit for the environment and keeping our little ones happy with a new best friend or two too.
They sell a wide range of animals for all of your little ones favourites, from dogs, rabbits, safari animals, dinosaurs, ocean animals and jungle animals to birds and woodland animals too, I think they have something for everyone! They also offer them in different packages the toy package (the one we have) is a set that includes the animal, the carry kennel and a pet passport. This passport has information about the animal itself, parts to fill in and personalise a birth certificate and a little bit of information on other animals available.
The dogs themselves are exceptionally well made the dog is a lovely size and really does look like a labradoodle, there are a couple of swing tags on its ear one with the brand logo, one with information about your new pet and one that contains information on the recycled materials that have been used to stuff the soft toy.
The details on the dog are amazing, down to the darker hair around the eyes, muzzle and ears (this detail is airbrushed on to make each one truly realistic and unique). Each animal is also trimmed individually to make sure the hair is all the right length in the right places, such an incredible amount of time and effort goes into making these animals the most realistic they can be. The puppy looks like a puppy labradoodle, it has softer fur – as you would expect – looks like it’s mum but also looks like a puppy, it’s super soft and just adorable.
They really have done an incredible job at making these dogs look ultra realistic as well as making them as eco friendly as possible so they are not only a great gift for small people but you can purchase them knowing that you are also helping the environment too, something that I think more and more of us are looking to do as we are shopping these days.
You can also get different packages so you can tailor it more to the recipient, the friend for life package comes with a special accessory to make your new animal feel at home and also comes with 5 video messages sent to your email.
The animal lover package comes with a steel water bottle and silicone sleeve and also a 6 month subscription to national geographic – great for the older ones I think.
The collectors package comes with the carry case, pet passport and also 20% off all purchases for a year, perfect if you are looking to get a collection of gorgeous animals.
My daughter is in love with these dogs, the other great thing with them is that there is no minimum age, they are fine from birth, so if you are looking to buy a Christmas present for a little or big one of any age then look no further, I really don’t think you can go wrong with any of the animals from Living Nature, in fact I might look at what I can buy my boys! They might be a little on the pricey side for some but with the eco consideration, the care and attention put into making each one and the incredible quality I think they really are worth every penny, they will be a best friend for life, not just something that is tossed to one side.
