Line of Duty is a hard hitting British police drama that delves into the murky world of police corruption.

After an armed police counterterrorism operation goes disastrously wrong and an innocent man holding a baby is shot and killed DS Steve Arnott (Martin Compston) refuses to lie and be involved in a cover-up. His time with the antiterrorism unit is finished so he transfers to the anticorruption unit, AC-12, where he starts to investigate one of the police force’s most respected officers, Detective Chief Inspector Tony Gates (Lennie James).

Gates is Officer of the Year and has the best crime figures for the past 3 years, but does he get all his results legally as does he bend the rules to get what he wants. Arnott is determined to find out one way or the other and bring him down if necessary. The game of cat-and-mouse begins.

Overall, Line of Duty is a totally absorbing crime drama and Lennie James is excellent. The storyline is brilliant and so is the quality of acting. A great series to watch and cannot wait for series two.

Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed.
