The Lego Minecraft series has consistently captivated fans with its ability to bring the digital pixelated world into a tangible, collectable toy. With Lego Minecraft The Frozen Peaks (21243), builders can experience the thrill of building a frozen landscape ready to explore.

The Minecraft The Frozen Peaks, is no exception to the quality sets already created in the Lego design range and offers brick heads a new adventure for the characters Steve and Alex and the builder through icy terrain.

The box design for Lego Minecraft The Frozen Peaks showcases the frozen landscape and the pieces you can expect to find inside along with detailed instructions and regular diagrams.

With 304 pieces this is a moderate challenge for children and will take up some time and mental energy to follow the instructions but the build experience isn’t too challenging. The builder can envision and create the mountain with a hidden entrance, ice slopes and a waterfall from the frozen peak. The additional features of translucent spikes of ice and crystals gives this build kit something extra special and captures the features often found within the game.
There are a number of play features to extend the value of the set: there’s a secret entrance with a hidden chamber inside containing a treasure chest with more to discover. Alongside the Minecraft characters Steve and Alex there’s a creeper and a goat and the four of them and their shenanigans create an opportunity for expansive imaginative play.

Another perk of Lego Minecraft The Frozen Peaks is the add on of other Lego Minecraft sets, or even others outside the Minecraft world. This could be to create a journey, a diorama or a collectable demonstration of building capability. This could create an enormous connected world with endless play opportunities. And of course, the beauty of Lego is that it can be taken apart and rebuilt, or the pieces used to create new and imaginative constructions and with the specific Minecraft world pieces any fan could go wild in their imagination. The build could also be left as a display piece for a Minecraft or Lego fan in general because it has diversity in the pieces.

The Lego Minecraft series is enormously popular because it brings the digital build world into a colourful and challenging tangible experience.

This set is cool according to my ten year old and offered a fun building experience with a range of play features he was keen to try out and has revisited in the days since. As he already had a couple of sets he was keen to put them all together and get the characters on a mission.

Overall it took him an hour and a half with interruptions to allow me to take pictures and he didn’t need any help, but he was certainly pleased with himself and the result.

This could be a saviour for parents over the summer holidays or a fabulous gift for a brick head.
