LeapFrog My Pal Scout Smarty Paws Review

All little children absolutely adore snuggling with soft toys as well as enjoying the active learning from interactive play equipment – My Pal Scout Smarty Paws, from the renowned LeapFrog company brilliantly combines both! My Pal Scout would be the perfect, guaranteed to delight Christmas gift for any child aged from 6+ months. As a Christmas gift, it is also very reassuring to know that as well as being able to ‘snuggle & learn with lovable scout’ it also has a night time mode and ‘soothes with sleepy time lullabies’.

For years I have been a fan of the award winning LeapFrog company – both my grown-up sons were entertained as children with various LeapFrog electronic educational devices. I have always found their products to be of the highest quality, succeeding in turning a childhood love of play into a lifetime love of learning. My Pal Scout is fun to play with whilst developing ‘core learning skills: first words, feelings & emotions, music’.

The My Pal Scout Smarty Paws arrived very well packaged, with a brightly covered appealing box and we loved how it was extremely easy to set up and ready to go straight from its box. Robust and well made, Scout Smarty Paws measures about 26 cm tall and is about 24 cm wide – a great size for little children to snuggle with.

Unlike other interactive toys we have come across, My Pal Scout Smarty Paws is incredibly soft and squishy and perfect to cuddle. Very cleverly, the play and learning can also be personalised whilst in the box across more than 15 activities, including little one’s name and their favourite food, colour and animal! With such personal touches and no needless gimmicks, for example, he can even teach little one to spell their own name – we just loved it!

My Pal Scout Smarty Paws has so many highly responsive features, all very carefully considered with great attention to detail. For example, the sound levels are appropriately set not to be too loud and the buttons in the ears can also be set so they don’t turn on accidentally – as parents we have all experienced an interactive toy going off just at the wrong moment!

The toy also has a night time mode, it was a lovely surprise for our little one to find the right back paw button played soft lullabies for 5, 10 or 15 minutes to calm and soothe.

My Pal Scout Smarty Paws uniquely has mindfulness activities included – LeapFrog have certainly thought of all children’s needs in the design. We loved how this cute, cuddly soft toy can double as a character in fun, imaginative adventures and games of pretend, alongside focusing on ‘core learning skills’. The My Pal Scout Smarty Paws really jumps out as a product which covers many developmental areas as well as for a range of children’s ages.

For us, the LeapFrog My Pal Scout Smarty Paws would be a wonderful Christmas gift for any child in the recommended age category. It is cute, fun and engaging, ticks absolutely all the boxes and is bound to be a hit!
