Trafford Centre, Manchester

I was so excited to go and have a meal at La Tasca in the Trafford Centre, Manchester after their recent refurbishment. I wasn’t disappointed.
We arrived to be greeted by a lovely member of staff who said that there would be a short wait for our table, but that we could have a drink at the bar. We decided to wait to have drinks at our table but did have a lovely sit down in the high bar seats. After a short time we were shown to our table. I loved the old décor and atmosphere but the refurbishment has made the restaurant more light and airy with an even better ambience. The toilet facilities were immaculate. The staff were helpful with any questions we had and quickly took our drinks order. This was brought to our table within a few minutes.
The waiter was happy for my partner to have plain chicken breast and fried potatoes tapas dishes as he isn’t too keen on sauces. He was very helpful when taking our order and the food arrived quickly. My daughter opted for ribs in sauce, garlic bread and fries which she gobbled down along with her cucumber. I opted for 2 chicken tapas dishes, pork belly and potatoes with tomato sauce and cheese. I like the fact that larger portions are available if required. Our 10 month old twins shared a children’s meal of Spanish Omelette, garlic bread and fried potatoes. They loved every mouthful. I was so full that I couldn’t finish my tapas dishes. My daughter gladly polished off both her brownie and ice cream. One of our twins was desperately trying to get his fingers into her yummy dessert to try it which provided a lot of amusement for us all.
We had a wonderful meal which came to just over £40 for the 5 of us. We thought this was very reasonable. The food was hot and tasty and the staff were amazing. We hope to go back soon. We have a La Tasca loyalty card which gives us 20% off 7 days a week.
