At this time getting hand sanitiser in the post is like receiving liquid gold. I have 3 children so hand washing is quite often a chore, sore hands are definitely a thing in our house and chapped skin is rife. Something like Kindr that claims to be so gentle is a welcome addition to ours and I’m sure many other households.
Kindr is a small UK company, they are aiming to be Kind not only to skin but also to the environment they say their mission is “To develop sustainable solutions which are kinder to our skin and our planet whilst being deadly on germs, bacteria and viruses.” Developed by UK scientists in conjunction with mothers to make sure all of their products meet the needs of the most sensitive skin. All their products are safe, vegan, cruelty free and made in the UK.
Their sanitiser is 100x more effective than alcohol and a has a 99.999% kill rate, it doesn’t smell (of anything), it’s non toxic, it doesn’t sting if it hits a cut or sore, it IS effective against Covid-19 and it actually re-hydrates skin instead of drying it out.
The items I were sent were the larger 300ml family foaming hand sanitiser and the pocket sized 50ml foaming hand sanitiser, both contain the same sanitiser that works in 30 seconds and lasts for 4 hours, is alcohol free and non toxic and is refillable too – the latter being a huge bonus in the need to reduce single use plastics and help protect the environment.
They came in a small box and inside were well protected with some wooden packaging materials, again nice to see something so kind to the environment. Also in the box are a couple of postcard sized leaflets, one with a thank you for ordering and on the reverse details on how and where to find the company and a little monthly giveaway when you share pictures or posts on social media. The other has some more information on Kate the person behind Kindr and also a bit more about the product itself.
My children and I got straight to trying it, it honestly smells of nothing, it isn’t slimy or greasy, it doesn’t hurt on any cuts you may have, it doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry or tight at all and the other thing that isn’t mentioned anywhere – it doesn’t taste of anything. We all know that when you use a sanitiser in shop, restaurant or when you are out and about, when you accidentally get any in your mouth, move a hair from your lips, eat a crisp, it tastes vile, well this one doesn’t and with everything else this company have to offer I think they tick every box.
My son has incredibly dry and split skin on his hands from all of the washing at school and hates to use a sanitiser, he was reluctant to try this one but after a little gentle persuasion he was pleasantly surprised, he has asked to now only use this one and nothing else as they hurt. I’ll take that as a win for Kindr!
If you are thinking of buying some sanitiser for your home, office, car, or as a Christmas gift, then look no further, not only are these ones well priced, eco conscious and made in the UK, they are everything you could want in a sanitiser and more, I will be buying refills when I need them and with free postage on orders over £15 I might also get some for friends and family to try too.
