PGL is encouraging families to get off the sofa with peak season free child places on a range of active holidays in France and the UK.
There’s a choice of full week and short break holidays, and with PGL’s definition of ‘child’ covering youngsters from six years to 18, these fully-inclusive holidays represent great value. Children aged two to five are also welcome, and also free, but are unlikely to be able to participate in any activities and will need a parent to supervise them.
For example, in France, at PGL’s own adventure centre in the Dordogne, adults pay £549 each, making a holiday for two adults and two children just £1098, saving £938 on brochure price. In a seven night holiday starting 5, 19 or 26 August, sailing, windsurfing, archery, climbing and mountain biking all feature, but perhaps the most memorable experience is a day’s canoeing on the Dordogne, past honey-coloured villages clinging to the limestone cliffs. Accommodation at the centre is typically an ensuite twin for parents with kids nearby in their own room.
In the UK, kids go free at five Family Active centres, including Liddington, which was a hotel before being turned into a superb adventure centre with facilities in its 150 acres for water-sports, climbing, mountain biking, ball sports and zip wire thrills. A four night multi-activity break starting 30 July or 6 and 13 August now costs £638 for a family of two adults and two children, saving £558 with this ‘kids go free’ deal.
*The largest ‘kids go free’ saving is on PGL’s Two-Centre Adventure combining canoeing down the Ardeche with sailing and windsurfing on the Med, with 11 nights from 29 July reduced to £1158 (from £2156) for a family of four.
At all centres, all meals, activities, equipment and instruction are included in the price. Travel to the centre, whether in France or the UK, is not included. All holidays must be booked by 23 July.
