Judge Cast Iron Grill Pan Review

Reviewed by Amanda Browne

I was recently asked to review the Judge Cast Iron Grill Pan.

The packaging wasn’t great, but after all it’s a pan. Most pans wouldn’t have a box if honest, so it was ok.

To see how good or bad it was I used the pan to cook gourmet burgers.

We were concerned having a halogen hob we wouldn’t be able to use the product. But the reading the guidance it was suitable for all hob types, oven grills, BBQ and camp fires. We were particularly interested for the BBQ.

It heated up very quickly, cooking the food thoroughly. My only slight criticism is that the handle got too hot to touch, so oven gloves are a must!

A nice feature on pan rim was fat drain away, making it very easy to drain off the left-over fat after use. The inside of the pan has raised ridges to create appetising grill marks It is easy to use, a reasonable size at 22cm by 22 cm. It’s a heavy pan but certainly ok for everyday use and has a natural finish that will not peel or flake. It cleaned up well. We think it is a great asset to the kitchen and will certainly be used over and over again. BBQ’s and camp fires here we come.
