Jimmy’s World Grill and Bar’s flagship restaurant at the O2 in London is a huge 400 seat restaurant offering buffet style dining at an affordable price.

Upon arriving at the restaurant on a very cold Sunday we were shown to our table and had the concept of the restaurant explained to us. There are Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Japanese and Italian dishes on offer with both starters and main dishes available. There are also live cooking stations for stir fries and fajitas that are cooked to your requirements.

You just take your plate, help yourself to whatever you fancy and return to your table. The space around our table was big enough for us to have a pushchair and high chair seated with us and there was still plenty of room. Drinks are ordered via the friendly and plentiful waiting staff. When you are finished any used plates are removed from your table and you can then go up as many times as you can.

In our party was myself, my husband and our children who are 10, 5 and 7 months old. With the buffet concept it was easy for each of us to find our favourite dishes and the kids even tried new tastes. The food in the buffet area was constantly replenished throughout our visit and all of the dishes were tasty and fresh. Our favourites were the freshly cooked stir fry, pizza and the assortment of different Indian curry dishes. The buffet is also stocked with various accompaniments and side dishes such as prawn crackers, naan bread, salads, chips and sauces.

After you have had your fill of the savoury dishes you can then choose your desert. There are different cheesecakes, mousses, cakes and Indian puddings available as well as a chocolate fountain (a big hit with me and the kids), fresh fruit and an ice cream teppanyaki.

At Jimmy’s World there really is something for everyone. Prices vary depending on the restaurant but at the O2 venue a lunch buffet (12.00-16.00) is £9.99 and for dinner (from 17.00) it is £13.99 Sunday to Wednesday and £16.99 Thursday to Saturday.

Children aged 4 and under eat free and children 11 and under are half price.
