Jasmine Silk Men’s Boxers Review

I often have to buy my husband new underwear. He seems to go through so many pairs of both boxer briefs and socks. So I often buy him new sets as a present on special occasions knowing it will be both appreciated and practical. Therefore I was very happy to receive a pair of boxer shorts this week from Jasmine Silk which would make a lovely Father’s Day gift.

Jasmine Silk specialises in silk products. They offer a range of underwear for both men and women as well as other silk clothing. They also sell silk bedding including baby blankets and pillowcases.

Firstly, on opening the delivery, my immediate impression was that I was a little disappointed by the packaging the boxer shorts arrived in. They were just in a plain silver pouch with the words Jasmine Silk on. The clear side of the pouch was covered with a piece of cardboard. As you are not able to see inside I at first wasn’t even sure what was in the package. I don’t think this is ideal if you are hoping to gift them, however it’s perfectly practical if you’re just purchasing for yourself. When I opened the packaging my first thought was just how badly a creased state the boxers arrived in. The pouch is rather small and so they had been repeatedly folded so as to fit in. But the creases did smooth out after a while.

The boxer shorts themselves are black and made of 100% pure knitted silk. The label shows that they can be machine washed and also ironed inside out. I think they will definitely need this after each wash as the downside of the material is that it does naturally seem to crease easily. The upside of the silk though is that they are naturally very soft making them comfortable to wear.

The boxers are available in sizes small, medium, large and extra large. I chose a medium, my husband’s usual size, which states is for up to a 34” waist. I did think at first that they looked rather big but once on they seemed to be a perfect fit. Tight enough to provide support but still roomy enough to be comfortable. My husband found the material to be extremely pleasant to wear.

The Jasmine Silk Pure Knitted Silk boxer shorts retail at £20. I do think this is pricey for a single pair of underwear and I wouldn’t normally spend so much. However I think the price is reasonable considering they are very high quality and made with the best materials. Certainly a justifiable price for a present.

I think they would make for a lovely Father’s Day gift as they look so luxurious, definitely a treat that the men in your life may not normally buy for themselves.
