Wicked Mega Spin YO YO – Saturn Review

I have to say, I have reviewed a couple of Wicked Mania toys in the past which I absolutely loved, so you can imagine how excited I was when I was asked to review the Wicked Mega Spin Yo Yo – Saturn and O.M.G. To say I was very excited is an understatement and I was not disappointed but then again, I knew I would not be, as I say, I have reviewed a couple of there products before and they are awesome!

ABOUT MEGA SPIN – SATURN

EEEEEEEK! This has to be the best Yo Yo I have ever used and you really use it like a pro. Whilst I am not a pro, I used to play a lot with yo yo’s, the tended to be cheap and nasty and as always envious of the pro’s seen on television. I also had the pleasure in chatting to D**** (editor’s note – name removed) at Wicked Vision to establish how it is made (please refer to my description below). He was kind enough to explain that they will be launching more video tutorials in the new year, so keep an eye out for them on their YouTube channel. I can not wait to see them.

FEATURES
Has a super smooth ball-bearing axel, this means that the sin can last for a very long time. This enables you to play and do your tricks without the spin running out. I found that the ability to perform tricks much easier than I thought it would due to tiny amount of weight to it. It made for more strength and ability when performing them.

An awesome feature of this is the flashing colour-changing LED lights which are on both sides of it. This feature lights up as it spins. It is operated with 4 x LR41 1.5V size batteries which are included (makes a change as most battery operated toys do not). It does say though that the batteries are non-replaceable. Whilst this would mean the LED function will no long work, this will not affect the performance of the yo yo.

It is described as the ‘Butterfly Shape’ which is great for string tricks. Again, I found many videos and boy, does this yo yo live up to a very high standard of spin.

It also comes with a replacement string which will definitely come in handy when the one it comes with is worn out. Not sure how long that will be though.

COMPOSITION
A very heavy duty and robust plastic.

AGE GROUP
3 years and up. It does come with a warning with regard to choking hazard as well as the long cord, so personally, even at 3 years, I would supervise the child when playing with it.
